General information
Opened in 2011, Raffles Seychelles spreads across 30 hectares of a secluded bay on Praslin, among tropical gardens and granite boulders, beside a 475-metre white-sand beach and close to the Vallée de Mai nature reserve. Villas with private pools are set on green hillsides and right by the beach, their interiors pairing contemporary elegance with natural materials.
The resort suits families well: the Sugar Palm Club looks after children and teenagers, while adults have the spa, a fitness centre and water sports. Some villa categories come with a personal butler, and there is a concierge, a boutique, laundry and dry cleaning. Weddings are arranged here, and the spa has its own bridal beauty salon.
Location
The resort sits in Anse Takamaka bay on Praslin’s north-east coast, facing Curieuse island and its marine national park. It is a 15-minute flight or 45 minutes by boat from the international airport on Mahé, and a 30-minute drive from Praslin’s local airport.
Spa
Raffles Spa lies a few steps from the shore of Anse Takamaka, its 13 treatment pavilions looking out over the ocean, the beaches and pink granite boulders; two spa suites have a steam shower, a Japanese bath and a private viewing deck. The team takes its cue from the pearls of local waters — the Pure Pearl Signature Treatment uses black pearl powder from a nearby pearl farm — and most treatments use Kerstin Florian products. There is also an ocean-view lounge and tea room, a fitness studio, a Russian banya, sauna, jacuzzi and beauty salon.
Sports & leisure
There is an outdoor pool and a water sports centre for snorkelling, windsurfing and canoeing, with equipment to hire. Boat trips, sports activities and excursions are offered, and an 18-hole golf course lies close to the resort.
For children
The Sugar Palm Club, with playrooms and an amphitheatre, has separate sections for under-4s, 4–12s and 12–18s, each with its own entertainment and sports programme. Restaurants offer children’s menus, and babysitting is available on request.

Dining spans the Mediterranean, seafood and Japanese cooking, and in-villa dining is available.

The 87 villas are finished in natural materials in an elegant contemporary style. Every one has its own pool and an open-air pavilion.
Villas have a plasma TV, CD/DVD player, internet access, adjustable lighting, an MP3 connection, a safe, a minibar, a Nespresso machine and a hairdryer.
Hillside Garden View Pool Villa
A garden villa with a king-size or twin beds, dressing room, bathroom, outdoor shower, pool terrace and a covered pavilion with dining area. Sleeps two adults, or two adults and two children on request.
Ocean View Pool Villa
Looking out to the ocean and Curieuse island, with a king- or queen-size bed, dressing room, pool terrace, outdoor shower and covered dining pavilion. Sleeps two adults and two children (the second child on request).
Panoramic Pool Villa
At the highest point of the resort, with panoramic ocean views, a king-size or two queen-size beds, a pool terrace and covered dining pavilion. Sleeps two adults and two children (the second child on request).
Grand Hillside Garden View Pool Villa
A larger garden villa with a king-size bedroom, living room, dressing room, pool terrace and a pavilion with dining area and barbecue. Sleeps three adults, or two adults and two children.
Grand Ocean View Pool Villa
A garden villa with ocean views, a king-size bedroom, living room, pool terrace and a pavilion with dining area and barbecue. Sleeps three adults, or two adults and two children.
Grand Panoramic Pool Villa
A hilltop villa with panoramic views over ocean and gardens, a king-size bedroom, living room, ocean-view bathroom, pool terrace and barbecue pavilion. Sleeps three adults, or two adults and two children.
Two Bedroom Ocean View Pool Villa
