General information
This five-star beach resort lines the shore of Baie Lazare on the south-west of Mahé, with a green hill rising behind it and a calm lagoon and the Indian Ocean in front. Spacious rooms and suites are set among tropical gardens and coconut palms, a few steps from a white-sand beach.
The resort is built above all for families and couples. It has a 50-metre Olympic-size pool, a spa at the foot of granite boulders, a PADI 5* dive centre, courts and a kids’ club, and its own helipad allows guests to fly in straight from the airport. A dedicated guest team, Lady in Red, arranges excursions, activities and everyday requests. Picault’s Green Room Lounge, with billiards, books, a small business centre, showers and changing rooms, serves guests who arrive early or leave late. Weddings are also hosted.
Location
The resort lies on the south-west coast of Mahé, in the Baie Lazare district. Seychelles International Airport is 18.5 km away, about 35 minutes by car, and the capital, Victoria, 25 km or about 40 minutes. The hotel arranges transfers by car or by helicopter, landing on the on-site helipad; there is a car-hire desk in the lobby and parking is free.
Spa
Kempinski The Spa sits in greenery at the foot of the Baie Lazare granite rocks. Alongside classic treatments it offers massages, body treatments and longer journeys built on local ingredients such as coconut, cinnamon and vanilla, with the Coco de Mer journey as its signature. Treatments are offered for one guest or for couples.

- Diving with a partner’s PADI 5* dive centre: bookings, briefings and pool training on site, with boats leaving from the resort beach or from a base 7 km away (free transfers)
- Snorkelling, kayaks, paddle boards and surfing from the boat house, with surf lessons on request
- Four floodlit courts for tennis and padel, rackets and balls free of charge, coaching on request
- A 24-hour fitness studio overlooking the lagoon, group classes and personal training
- Yoga on the hill, a botanical walk with views over the bay and Creole cooking classes
- Scenic helicopter flights over the islands and sessions with a professional photographer
For children
Kempinski Kids Club welcomes children aged 3–12 free of charge every day from 8 am to 6 pm, with indoor games and activities and an introduction to the islands’ nature. Next to it are a children’s pool with supervised water play and Les Petits Lazariens Adventure Garden, an open-air garden with sensory trails and games. Babysitting for the evening can be arranged through the Lady in Red team.
Restaurants & bars
Dining ranges from tables on the sand to a dinner staged as a show.
- Café Lazare — international buffet for breakfast and dinner, with an open kitchen, live cooking stations, themed evenings and a dedicated kids’ corner
- Windsong — barefoot beachfront restaurant serving sushi, seafood and Creole dishes such as octopus curry for lunch and dinner, plus cocktails
- Le Petit Chef — French dinner accompanied by a 3D projection show on the table, with a choice of four menus
- Planters Bar & Lounge — bar overlooking the beach and ocean with a cosy indoor lounge: cocktails made with local ingredients, light international bites and afternoon tea
- Picault’s Green Room Lounge — drinks and snacks throughout the day and evening
Swimming
A long stretch of white-sand beach in a secluded bay belongs to the resort, with beach service during the day. At the heart of the grounds is a 50-metre Olympic-size pool framed by tropical planting, with sun loungers, towels and a lifeguard; children have a pool of their own.
Rooms
Rooms and suites are decorated in a light tropical style; most have a balcony or terrace facing the hill, the lagoon or the ocean, and the beachside suites open directly onto the sand.
Each room has a sitting area, a smart TV with streaming services, a safe, tea and coffee facilities, a rainforest shower and a double vanity.
Superior Hill View Room
Room by the lagoon looking onto the green hillside, with a king bed or twin beds, a sofa and a balcony or terrace. Sleeps three.
Deluxe Lagoon View Room

Deluxe Ocean View Suite
Suite among coconut palms with a lounge, a dining area, an ocean-view terrace and an outsized shower with body jets; king bed or twin beds. Sleeps three.
Family Room
Two adjoining rooms, each with its own bathroom, with a king bed, twin beds and a sofa bed, a sea-view terrace and direct beach access. Sleeps six.
The Plantation Suite
Beachside suite with a king bed, a living and dining area, a kitchenette and a spacious terrace with a panoramic ocean view. Sleeps three.
Deluxe Lagoon View Suite
Suite with a separate living room, a dining room, a king bed and a terrace or balcony overlooking the lagoon. Sleeps three.
The Picault Suite
The largest suite, by the sea, with a king bed, a lounge with two sofas, a dining room, a kitchenette and a large terrace with four sun loungers, a garden and direct beach access. Sleeps three.
