Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa

About this hotel

General information

Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa clings to a rocky slope on the north-west coast of Mahé, above Beau Vallon Bay. Its villas sit among tropical forest and granite boulders, each facing the Indian Ocean with Silhouette Island on the horizon. Only guests over 13 are accepted, which keeps the mood quiet and unhurried.

Every stay is in a villa with an ocean-facing balcony, and the larger ones have pools of their own. Offshore runs a 650-metre snorkelling trail laid out with the Marine Conservation Society Seychelles as part of a coral restoration programme, while the Tropical Treasures garden path introduces the island’s native plants. The resort can also arrange proposals, small weddings and anniversary dinners.

Location

The resort lies at Glacis on the north-west coast of Mahé, close to Beau Vallon Bay: Beau Vallon beach is 2 km away and Seychelles International Airport 18 km. There is no shuttle, but the front office arranges transfers on request.

Spa

eforea Spa is set on granite rocks above the shore, with ocean views from the treatment rooms. Therapists work with ELEMIS, a nature-based skincare line, offering face and body treatments as well as rituals for couples.

Sports & leisure

Snorkelling starts from the resort’s own beach, where a 650-metre underwater trail passes coral nurseries; marine scientists from the Marine Conservation Society Seychelles lead guided snorkels and talks. Snorkelling gear and kayaks are free at the beach kiosk. Yoga with views over Beau Vallon Bay is held twice a week, and the gym also looks out to sea. Golfers can drive biodegradable, ocean-safe balls from the deck beside the gym or from their own pool villa. The Tropical Treasures trail climbs the hillside past takamaka, coco de mer and other native species, with QR markers telling the story of each.

Restaurants & bars

Two restaurants and two bars cover the day, with private dinners on a deck above the ocean or in the villas.

  • Mahé Restaurant — Creole cooking with local produce, island spices and fresh seafood; breakfast and dinner with panoramic ocean views
  • Wave — Mediterranean-style dinners by the sea: seafood, salads, pasta, risotto, paella and dishes from the grill
  • Ocean View Bar — relaxed dining from lunch into the evening: burgers, flatbreads, salads, local fish, grills and cocktails over the ocean
  • The Lower Deck — an intimate gin bar above the water for sunset cocktails, some made with island botanicals
  • Lanmour Deck — an open-air deck above the ocean for private dinners with a personalised menu

Villa guests can also book a private dinner by the pool or on the terrace, a floating breakfast in their own pool, or a picnic in a secluded spot on the island.

Swimming

The infinity pool is ringed by tropical gardens, with the Indian Ocean stretching beyond its edge. The resort has its own beach, the starting point for snorkelling and kayaking, and the pool villas each have a private pool.

Pets

Pets are not allowed; only service animals are accepted.
