Constance Lemuria Seychelles

About this hotel

General information

Built in 1999, Constance Lemuria lies in tropical greenery on a turquoise lagoon on Praslin, an island known for its rare plants and birds: the Vallée de Mai is home to the fabled coco de mer palm and the black parrot. The resort is made up of two-storey bungalows and villas in natural materials, where spare geometric forms, dark wood and stone are lifted by bright fabrics and local details.

Three white-sand beaches frame lagoons sheltered from the swell, so swimming and water sports are possible in any season. The grounds hold an 18-hole golf course, a three-tiered cascading pool, restaurants, a spa and a water sports centre. Car hire, a business centre, a 20-person meeting room, shops, a library and laundry complete the services.

Location

The resort is on Praslin, a 15-minute flight from Pointe Larue international airport on Mahé and a five-minute drive from the island’s local airport.

Spa

The spa combines Y Spa by Constance and a Valmont spa, offering massage, face and body care, masks, peels, wraps and anti-ageing programmes with Valmont products. There is a sauna with jacuzzi, a steam bath and a hair salon, plus a signature pedicure, and a wellness programme of training sessions, morning yoga and meditation.

Sports & leisure

Guests have a modern gym, the three-tiered cascading pool, the resort’s own 18-hole golf course, tennis and mountain bikes. On the water there is kayaking, snorkelling, diving, deep-sea fishing, windsurfing and catamaran sailing.

For children

The Constance Kids Club for ages 4–11 has a pool, a play area, cartoons and video games, arts and crafts and pizza and ice-cream workshops. Babysitting is available on request.

Restaurants & bars

Three restaurants are joined by five bars — Huna, Diva, Pool, Nest and Takamaka — pouring wines, cocktails and soft drinks.

  • Legend — buffet breakfast, an à la carte menu and themed evenings
  • Diva — refined French and local cooking with views over the golf course
  • The Nest — fish and seafood
