About this hotel
General information
Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas occupies a peninsula on Mahé’s west coast, its thirty villas spread between a hillside and a secluded white-sand beach. Around them lie some 12 hectares of tropical forest and gardens planted with roughly 300 exotic and endemic species, and the buildings sit low in the landscape, their interiors pairing rustic hammered copper with soft, tactile fabrics.
Privacy shapes everything here: each villa has its own infinity pool, and a dedicated villa host looks after guests from arrival to departure. Meals can be set up almost anywhere on the grounds, in the wine cellar or on a villa terrace. The resort is known for its wine list, its gardens and a spa of open-air pavilions, and it has its own helipad for flights across the archipelago.
Location
The resort sits in the bay of Anse Louis on the west coast of Mahé. Seychelles International Airport is about 35 minutes away by car, depending on traffic; the hotel arranges transfers for a fee.
Spa
Anantara Spa is set in three open-sided pavilions among endemic greenery and granite boulders, with a timber deck for yoga and singing-bowl sound sessions. Treatments draw on both Eastern and Western traditions and use local herbs, fruit, coconut and seaweed: a signature Vichy rain ritual, a banana-leaf wrap, Ayurvedic therapies, magnesium and seaweed baths, and rituals for couples. Massages can also be booked in the villa or outdoors around the resort.
Sports & leisure
Daily activities include kayaking, instructor-led stand-up paddle boarding on Anse Louis bay, house-reef snorkelling, open-air or in-villa yoga and qigong, and a gym. There is a covered, air-conditioned padel court with coaching on request, garden tours, and a marine discovery programme led by a marine biologist, with guided snorkels, snorkel lessons and reef-restoration demonstrations. The hotel also arranges helicopter flights over Mahé and day trips to Praslin and La Digue, boat outings, guided hikes, surf lessons, and PADI diving and courses with a dive centre five minutes away.
For children
Younger guests have an on-request activity programme: sandcastle contests, pizza and cookie cooking classes, coconut painting, garden games, treasure hunts, nature walks, mocktail making, stand-up paddling in the pool, a first introduction to snorkelling and children’s sessions of the marine discovery programme.
Restaurants & bars
The kitchen blends Creole flavours with Asian, Indian and Mediterranean influences, and dinner can be served almost anywhere, from the beach to the wine cellar.

Swimming
The resort fronts the secluded white-sand beach of Anse Louis, with a reef for snorkelling; the Premier Beach Pool Villas open straight onto it. There is a shared pool by the Sunset Pool Bar, and every villa has its own infinity pool.
