The St. Regis Belgrade

About this hotel

General information

The St. Regis Belgrade occupies a 42-storey glass tower on the banks of the Sava, topped by an observation deck with a 360-degree view over the city. The curving façade takes its cue from the flow of the Sava and the Danube, and the windows look out over the river and the Belgrade skyline. There are 119 rooms and suites, and arrivals pass through the Long Gallery, a lengthy entrance hall that sets the tone for the interiors.

The design draws on seven local themes — the rivers, the city’s twofold character, art, wine, coffee, textiles and metalwork — expressed in kilim-like patterns, Murano glass, curated libraries and work by Serbian artists. The signature St. Regis Butler Service looks after every stay, an evening sabrage ritual marks the turn from day to night, and the glass-walled Astor Ballroom, with its crystal ceiling and a terrace above the Sava, hosts celebrations and weddings.

Location

The hotel stands on the Sava riverfront between the historic centre of Belgrade and the business district, with New Belgrade just across the river, and has direct access to the Galerija shopping centre. Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park, Republic Square, Skadarlija and the Church of Saint Sava are all within easy reach. Belgrade International Airport is about 18 km away; the hotel runs no shuttle, but Presidential Suite guests receive a round-trip airport transfer when booked in advance.

Spa

The St. Regis Spa fills a private wing of the hotel and is open daily by appointment. Its five treatment rooms use Sothys and Amra products, and each visit begins at the spa’s own scent bar, where guests choose a fragrance. The menu covers massages, including for couples, facials, body scrubs and wraps, eye treatments, scalp and hair care, foot baths and the signature Caroline’s Collection. A relaxation area lit by floor-to-ceiling windows holds a heated pool, a whirlpool, a sauna and a steam room, and there are separate lounges for men and women.

Sports & leisure

The second-floor fitness centre, with river views, is open around the clock, with Technogym cardio and strength equipment, free weights, fitness classes and a personal trainer on request. With its local partner DBB, the concierge arranges relaxed city rides and guided full-day cycling tours, with premium bikes delivered to the hotel and fitted to each rider. Other outings include private yacht trips along the Sava and the Danube, visits to wine regions with cellar tastings, a walk through underground Belgrade, museums, theatres, ateliers and galleries, private cooking classes and helicopter flights over the vineyards. The St. Regis Bar has live jazz on Fridays and live piano on Fridays and Saturdays.

Restaurants & bars

Dining pairs the brand’s New York traditions with Serbian produce, and in-room dining serves breakfast, lunch and dinner around the clock.

  • Savant Brasserie — New York-style brasserie with a seasonal, locally sourced menu of Adriatic seafood, Serbian truffles and morels, tableside T-bone and Chateaubriand and a wine list strong on Serbian labels; breakfast is served here too
  • Rise Patisserie — café and patisserie with its own coffee blend from a local roastery, handmade macarons and cakes, and the signature afternoon tea with Jing teas and Champagne; it opens into the quiet of The Library
  • The St. Regis Bar — signature cocktails, rare aged spirits and the hotel’s own takes on the Bloody Mary made with local ingredients, against a tapestry telling Belgrade’s story
  • The Wine Room — copper-lined room for private dinners and tastings led by the Cellar Master, set around a collection of rare vintages and brandies
Swimming

A heated indoor pool sits in the spa’s relaxation area beside a whirlpool, with tall windows looking out over the river; towels are provided.
