About this hotel
General information
Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour sits on a secluded beach at Banana Bay, on the south-eastern tip of St Kitts, looking straight across the water to Nevis. Its 124 rooms, suites and villas are light and contemporary, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Caribbean Sea and the outline of Nevis beyond the strait.
The resort's public buildings take their cue from the island's traditional architecture: the Great House restaurant anchors the grounds, Stone Barn is styled on the island's stone barns and Fisherman's Village recalls the fishing huts that lined the shore. Around them lie two pools, the beach, the Sugar Mill Spa & Sanctuary, pickleball courts and a kids' club. The hotel holds Green Key sustainability certification.
Location
The resort lies on Banana Bay on the Southeast Peninsula of St Kitts, in the Christophe Harbour area, with views across The Narrows to Nevis and Nevis Peak. St Kitts' international airport is 14.7 km away, a drive of 20–25 minutes, and the hotel arranges transfers. A scheduled water taxi runs from the resort's private pier to Oualie Beach on Nevis, and private boat transfers can be booked through the concierge.
Spa
Sugar Mill Spa & Sanctuary is built around a replica sugar-mill tower. It has nine treatment rooms, several with their own plunge pools and outdoor relaxation areas, while the shared lounges offer a sauna, steam rooms, heated plunge pools and outdoor showers. The menu runs from a signature bamboo massage and a coconut-sugar body glow to hot-stone, sports-recovery, prenatal and couples' treatments, facials using salt stones or superfood ingredients, and a salon for hair, manicures, pedicures and waxing.
Sports & leisure
The daily schedule includes sunrise yoga, vinyasa, Pilates, sound healing, meditation, aqua aerobics and guided water activities such as paddleboarding. There are pickleball courts with paddle hire and private lessons, basketball, lawn games and a 24-hour fitness centre. Other pastimes include rum tastings, cooking demonstrations, mixology classes, a garden tour, bonfire evenings and afternoon tea. Beyond the resort lie golf, a day on Nevis, the rainforest and volcanic peaks of St Kitts, and Brimstone Hill Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
For children
Island Fort by Camp Hyatt welcomes children and teens with outdoor games, cooking sessions on healthy eating, themed celebrations and arts and crafts, next to a playground. In the evenings, from 5pm to 11pm, babysitters look after children aged 12 months to 12 years in the guest's own room (two-hour minimum, booked in advance).
Restaurants & bars
Three restaurants are joined by a pool bar, a market café and private dining:
- Great House — the main restaurant at the heart of the resort, with indoor and beachfront terrace seating: breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on selected Sundays
- Fisherman's Village — a relaxed over-the-water restaurant with ocean views, serving island dishes and fresh seafood at lunch and dinner
- Stone Barn — dinner in a stone building, with cooking that brings Peruvian and Japanese flavours together
- Rampart Pool Bar — light dishes and signature cocktails by the pools, on the beach and in the cabanas
- Fisherman's Village Bar and Fleming's Bar — the resort's bars
- Banana Bay Market — a grab-and-go shop in the Great House with coffee, smoothies, pastries, sandwiches and salads
- Destination Dining — private dinners on the beach under the stars or in a cabana by the Rampart Pool waterfalls
In-room dining serves breakfast, lunch and dinner from the Great House menu of local, seasonal and classic dishes.
Swimming
The resort's beach lies on Banana Bay on the Caribbean side of the peninsula, facing Nevis, with loungers and umbrellas for guests; beachfront rooms open straight onto the sand. There are two pools: Rampart, with its waterfalls, and Lagoon, which looks towards Nevis Peak. Private cabanas sit beneath the Rampart waterfalls, with shaded loungers, wading pools and their own service team.
Pets
One dog or cat of up to 23 kg is welcome per room. Pets may stay only in the standard 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds room types, must be leashed outside the room and are not allowed in the restaurants, the spa or the pool areas; a bed, bowls and treats are provided in the room.
