General information
Belle Mont Sanctuary Resort is the principal resort of Kittitian Hill, an estate of some 160 hectares on the northern flank of Mount Liamuiga, the dormant volcano of St Kitts. Fifty West Indian-style cottages and villas are set among the trees at around 300 metres, each a separate building with its own entrance, porch and, in most cases, pool, stepped to follow the lie of the hillside. The Great House sits at the heart of the resort.
The appeal is quiet and nature. Mornings bring birdsong and hummingbirds in the mango, breadfruit and pawpaw trees, a wild vervet monkey may pass by, and with no town lights for miles the night sky is dense with stars. The kitchen works with produce from the resort's own farm and local growers, and the flowers in the rooms are gathered on the grounds. An event space with an open deck holds weddings and private celebrations for up to 250 guests.
Location
The resort sits at around 300 metres on Kittitian Hill, in the parish of St Paul Capisterre on the north of St Kitts, at the edge of the nature reserve on the slopes of Mount Liamuiga. It looks down on Dieppe Bay, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea, and out to Saba, St Eustatius, St Barts and St Maarten on the horizon. The resort's beach club on Dieppe Bay is an 8-minute drive away.
Spa
Every treatment at Mango Walk Spa starts with a consultation with the therapist. Massages use heated basalt stones, bamboo sticks or herbal poultices, and herbal baths of coconut milk and rose petals nourish and hydrate the skin. There is also Rope & Belt Therapy, a prop-supported form of yoga therapy for those dealing with pain or muscle spasms, and a class in which guests make their own natural body scrubs.
Sports & leisure
Guests have a gym and a tennis court, and the main infinity pool, with a swim-up bar, faces the Caribbean Sea. Beach days are spent at the resort's beach club, Arthur's, on Dieppe Bay. The spa runs Rope & Belt Therapy yoga sessions and a body-scrub workshop.
Restaurants & bars
Dining is distinctly Kittitian, built on the resort's own farm produce, local growers and the day's catch:

- The Mill Bar — the bar on The Kitchen's upper level
- The Chef's Table — intimate tasting and pairing dinners
- The Pool Bar & Terrace — lunch and small plates daily beside the main pool, catch of the day and a glass of Champagne at sunset; the bar is swim-up
- Arthur's Restaurant & Beach Club — a waterfront restaurant right on Dieppe Bay beach, popular with visitors and islanders alike
Swimming
The main infinity pool, with its swim-up bar, looks across the Caribbean Sea to the neighbouring islands, and most cottages and villas have pools of their own. For the sea, Arthur's Beach Club on Dieppe Bay is an 8-minute drive away: loungers are first come, first served, or can be reserved when available.
Rooms
Fifty cottages and villas in West Indian style: local stonework, shingle roofs, shuttered windows, carved balustrades, high vaulted ceilings and commissioned handmade furniture. The villas have fully equipped kitchens, and some of the houses look out to the Caribbean Sea.
Air conditioning and ceiling fans, an open-air bathroom with rain shower and freestanding tub, organic toiletries, bathrobes, minibar, tea and coffee, desk, safe and Wi-Fi.

A cottage for two with an oversized king bed, a pull-down projector screen for films and an open-air bathroom with rain shower and freestanding tub. Open verandas and decks with a daybed lead to a private pool above the tropical gardens; some cottages catch glimpses of the sea.

A cottage for up to four with two queen beds, a projector screen and a spacious open-air bathroom. Verandas, a daybed and a private pool look over tropical greenery, with sea glimpses from some cottages.
Luxury Two Bedroom Villa with Pool
A standalone two-storey villa whose living room opens onto the terrace and pool, with a fully equipped kitchen including an espresso machine. Upstairs are a king bedroom and a room with two queen beds, each with a dressing room, bronze soaking tub and outdoor shower; it sleeps four, or six on request.
Luxury Three Bedroom Villa with Pool
A villa for up to six, with two bedrooms in the main house and the third in a private cottage alongside, each with its own bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a broad veranda, a kitchen, a barbecue and a private infinity-edge pool.
Luxury Four Bedroom Villa with Pool
A villa for up to eight: two bedrooms on the upper floor of the main house and two detached cottages next to it, each with its own entrance and balcony. Every bedroom has a bathroom with bronze soaking tub and outdoor shower, around a large terrace, a kitchen and a private infinity-edge pool.
Luxury Four Bedroom Farmhouse with Pool
The resort's signature villa for groups of up to eight: a central house with open-plan living and dining, a fully equipped kitchen and terrace, and four separate king-bedded cottages a short stroll away. A 30-metre overflowing pool beside the sun deck looks out to the Caribbean Sea.
Luxury Farmhouse Cottage King
One of the four Farmhouse cottages, for two, with a king bed, the resort's signature bathroom with outdoor shower and deep bronze tub, and custom furniture; the 30-metre pool and shared terrace are close by.
