About this hotel
General information
The Pinnacle Kigali is a small hotel at the top of Rebero hill, looking out across the green hills of the Rwandan capital. The three-storey building covers 8,500 m² on a plot of 3.2 acres (about 1.3 ha), yet it holds only nine rooms, so no more than 18 guests stay at any one time. Its interiors pair contemporary African design with high ceilings and bespoke finishes, and the house displays a private collection of African art that guests can tour.
For its size, the hotel has a remarkable range of spaces: seven restaurants and bars, a saltwater infinity pool, a spa, sports courts, a bowling alley, a cinema, a library and residents’ lounges on both guest floors. Staying guests use all of it at no extra charge, with some experiences to be reserved in advance. Breakfast, the airport transfer and a 24-hour private butler for the whole stay are included.
Location
The hotel stands on KK 30 Avenue, high on Rebero hill above the city, about 12 km and a 30-minute scenic drive from Kigali International Airport. Arrival comes with a meet-and-assist service at the airport — lounge access, luggage handling and fast-track through immigration — followed by a chauffeured transfer in an electric SUV; drives around the city can be arranged on request. The concierge, working with trusted partners, plans onward journeys to Volcanoes National Park for mountain gorilla trekking, a few hours by road or less by helicopter, as well as to Akagera National Park and Lake Kivu.
Spa
The Inzozi Wellness Center has a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, and its therapists build each programme around the guest. A three-hour full-body ritual is offered as a package with light meals and a small gift to take home. One floor down, a salon takes care of hair, nails and body grooming. Guests in The Pinnacle Suite receive a complimentary 60-minute massage.
Sports & leisure
Leisure at the hotel ranges from sport to slow evenings:
- a fully equipped gym, with personal training on request;
- tennis and padel courts and a full-size basketball court, each for an hour’s play when reserved ahead;
- a four-lane bowling alley and the Izuba Arcade Room;
- the 21-seat Inseko Theater with Dolby Atmos sound, screening films daily and open for private sessions;
- a library, tours of the private African art collection and yoga in the garden;
- a pizza-making class followed by a private screening, and cocktail-making classes at Ukwezi Pinnacle Lounge;
- a day trip from the hotel for mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, safaris in Akagera National Park, trips to Lake Kivu and helicopter outings, all arranged with the hotel’s partners.
Restaurants & bars
The kitchens work from local produce: herbs and vegetables come from the hotel’s own kitchen garden, and nearly everything not imported is supplied directly by Rwandan farmers.
- Uruhimbi — the signature fine-dining room with a wine cellar; breakfast is served here, and in the evening three- and five-course set menus;
- Ishami Rooftop Terrace — rooftop dining with city views: seafood, prime cuts, vegetables and sharing plates with crafted cocktails, plus a Chef’s Table beside the kitchen team;
- Icyirenga — teppanyaki, with chefs cooking a five-course menu including Wagyu in front of guests (for two or more, booked a day ahead);
- Ubudasa — poolside, with Mediterranean dishes, wood-fired pizzas and a Sunday brunch;
- Ukwezi Pinnacle Lounge — an evening lounge for cocktails and snacks;
- Ubuki — a whisky bar;
- Uruhimbi Champagne Bar — opened by reservation.
Swimming
The emerald infinity pool is filled with heated salt water and faces out over Kigali. It has a sunken bar and a separate children’s pool, with Ubudasa alongside and a fire pit where evenings tend to linger.

The Pinnacle Suite
The single suite, Angel’s Nest, is designed around forest motifs and sits in the quietest corner of the hotel, looking over the pool to the city: a living room, an office, his-and-hers closets, a bathroom with bath and separate shower and a king-size bed. A large balcony holds three outdoor seating areas; it sleeps two.
