The Ned Doha

About this hotel

General information

The Ned Doha occupies a modernist 1970s building on the Corniche, reworked into a hotel and club with 90 rooms and suites. The interiors lean deliberately into that decade: hand-tufted rugs, walnut and burl wood, Murano chandeliers, terrazzo floors and fan-shaped headboards. The ground floor is a ring of restaurants gathered around a central stage with live performances every day.

The building also houses an art collection of original works by close to a hundred artists, more than half of them based in Doha and nearly three-quarters of them women. A private members’ club, Ned’s Club, shares the address, and hotel guests use its spa, gym and 30-metre pool. For events there is the 475 m² Corniche Hall, with its own entrance and space for up to 600 standing guests, plus two meeting rooms for up to 36.

Location

The hotel stands on the Corniche in Doha, next to Al Bidda Park, with balconies facing the Persian Gulf and, from the corner suites, the West Bay skyline in the distance. Transfers from Hamad International Airport in a BMW 7 Series are arranged on request.

Spa

Ned’s Club Spa is styled with a vintage elegance and has a sauna and steam room within separate men’s and women’s changing areas (complimentary for hotel guests), treatment rooms including couples’ rooms, and a traditional Moroccan hammam. The menu covers an Arabian signature massage, Balinese, Swedish, deep-tissue, hot-stone and maternity massages, a Turkish hammam ritual with black soap and a kessa glove, and face and body treatments, all using Cowshed products. The spa is for guests aged 18 and over.

Sports & leisure

Ned’s Club Gym is open around the clock, with modern equipment, a studio for group classes, a dedicated women’s gym and personal trainers. On the ground floor, a heated 30-metre outdoor pool with cabanas and daybeds is reserved for hotel guests and club members. In the evenings the stage at the heart of the ground-floor restaurants hosts live music daily.

For children

The ground-floor restaurants welcome families, and a children’s in-room dining menu is available; children up to four stay free in a cot. Children may use the pool during morning hours with an adult, and in the evening families with children dine at Electric Diner or Kaia. The spa and gym are for adults only.

Restaurants & bars

Restaurants with very different kitchens fill the ground floor, arranged in a circle around the live-music stage.

  • Millie’s Lounge — international menu of classic and modern dishes from the grill
  • Millie’s Cake Shop — a cake shop rooted in French pâtisserie
  • Kaia — Asian-Pacific cooking: sushi, poké bowls and robata-grill mains
  • The Nickel Lounge — American food and drinks to live music from the stage
  • Cecconi’s — Northern Italian cooking, hand-made pasta, wood-fired pizza and seafood
  • Electric Diner — American diner with burgers, hot dogs, salads, cheesecake, shakes and cocktails
  • Malibu Kitchen — Californian cooking in an air-conditioned open-air restaurant
  • Hadika — Levantine garden restaurant serving mezze to share, with private dining rooms
  • Ned’s Club Pool — snacks and drinks by the pool, for hotel guests and club members only
Swimming

There is no beach. Swimming centres on the heated 30-metre ground-floor pool, a bold green basin framed by terrazzo, private cabanas and green-and-white striped daybeds, open only to hotel guests and club members.

Pets

Animals are not allowed in the hotel, with the exception of guide dogs.
