Four Seasons Hotel Doha

About this hotel

General information

Four Seasons Hotel Doha is a seafront tower that pairs the pace of Qatar’s capital with the ease of a resort: at its foot lie a private sandy beach, a marina and five outdoor pools. The hotel has 237 rooms, 57 of them suites, along with the Al Mirqab Ballroom for gatherings of up to 450 guests.

Interiors are drawn in pale, sea-inspired tones, mixing classic and contemporary furniture, while mother-of-pearl inlays and Arabic motifs nod to Qatari heritage. The hotel is best known for its Nobu restaurant set out over the water, a three-level spa with an extensive hydrotherapy area, and a full family offer that runs from a kids’ club to tennis and desert outings.

Location

The hotel stands on the Corniche in the West Bay business district, about 7 minutes from downtown Doha, steps from the City Centre and Gate Mall shopping centres and a short drive from Souq Waqif and Place Vendôme Mall. Hamad International Airport is 21 km away, around 40 minutes by car; the concierge arranges transfers by BMW or Mercedes, as well as car rental and limousines.

Spa

The spa spreads over three levels, with 11 treatment rooms, a private suite for couples’ treatments, a salon and a large hydrotherapy area: a counter-current pool, a massage pool with underwater jets, hot and cold plunge pools, a 15-jet Swiss shower, sauna, steam room, ice room and colour therapy room. Treatments draw on the five elements of traditional Chinese medicine; facials use Biologique Recherche, and the menu also covers Valmont and Young LDN treatments, men’s rituals and visiting practitioners. Massages, body treatments, facials and the hydro pool are for guests aged 18 and over; the whirlpool, sauna and steam room for 14 and over.

Sports & leisure

The sea-view fitness centre has cardio and weight-training equipment, daily group classes and personal trainers, with workout clothing provided free of charge. Two Rebound Ace tennis courts sit just above the beach, with instructors and complimentary racquets and balls, and there are squash courts too. The concierge arranges Doha city tours taking in Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art and the National Museum of Qatar, 4x4 safaris across the dunes to where the desert meets the sea, buggy rides and dhow trips.

For children

The complimentary Kids For All Seasons programme welcomes children aged 4–12 with educational activities, sports and golf, Middle Eastern arts and crafts, films and storytelling, PlayStation and Xbox; teens have their own social events. Families also get a children’s pool and a family pool with water slides, kids’ tennis sessions, children’s menus, cots, high chairs, games and toys, and babysitting at a charge.

Restaurants & bars

Ten restaurants and lounges range from Japanese and Latin American cooking to a French bakery.

Swimming

The hotel’s private sandy beach on the Gulf is set with loungers and umbrellas, with attendants serving both beach and pools. There are five outdoor pools: three grotto-style pools, one of them reserved for guests aged 16 and over, plus a family pool and a children’s pool with water slides.
