About this hotel
General information
Stradom House is a five-star Autograph Collection hotel in the Stradom quarter, between Wawel Hill and Kazimierz. It occupies a historic complex whose roots go back to the late 14th century — once a monastery with a hospital — where old walls meet a confident contemporary design. At its heart is a Baroque chapel, now an intimate club and bar.
There are 125 rooms and suites, from rooms styled on the early 20th century to the Chapel Loft set above the chapel. The hotel's own collection of Polish and international art hangs throughout. Guests have the SÓL spa with a 20-metre pool, two restaurants, a wine cellar, a bakery café and twelve meeting rooms for groups of two to a hundred.
Location
The hotel stands on Stradomska Street in the historic centre of Kraków: the royal castle on Wawel Hill is about 400 m away, a five-minute walk, Kazimierz is also five minutes on foot, and the Main Square roughly a kilometre, or a 12–15-minute stroll. Kraków Airport is 20 km away, and the hotel arranges private transfers for a fee. Parking is limited (best reserved with the room), and there is an electric-vehicle charger.
Spa
SÓL Spa was created with the London natural skincare brand Soveral. Its menu draws on natural ingredients and modern cosmetology — massages, beauty rituals, facials and body treatments. The SÓL Aqua area has a 20-metre indoor pool, modern saunas, an ice plunge tub, a sensory room and relaxation rooms.
Sports & leisure
The SÓL Fit gym is equipped with Technogym Biostrength and Technogym Artis machines, with trainers on hand for personal coaching, plus yoga and aerial yoga classes. The 20-metre spa pool is there for laps. Beyond that, Kraków itself is the draw: Wawel, Kazimierz and the Main Square are all within walking distance, and the hotel's art collection rewards an unhurried look.
Restaurants & bars
The hotel's restaurants and bars are open to non-residents too:
- Stradomska 12 — contemporary Polish cooking built on seasonal local produce, a tasting menu, Polish vodka and regional wines; evenings
- Gaia — Mediterranean with an Italian lean, stone-oven dishes for sharing: seafood, fish and vegetables, with a green patio on warm days
- Hedwig's — a club and cocktail bar in the Baroque chapel, softly lit, with live music
- Cellar — a wine and cigar lounge in a historic room beside Hedwig's, with small bites
- Bakehouse 14 — a boutique bakery and café for biscuits and speciality coffee
Swimming
A 20-metre indoor pool is part of the spa's SÓL Aqua area.
Pets
Pets are welcome for a fee; they must be declared at booking, and the number and weight of animals are limited.
