Raffles Europejski Warsaw

About this hotel

General information

Raffles Europejski Warsaw occupies a mid-19th-century Neoclassical palace on Krakowskie Przedmieście, part of the Royal Route, between the Old Town and the Saxon Garden. Behind the historic façade the interiors are contemporary – bespoke furniture, marble and fine fabrics – while details keep the building’s past in view: Nieborów majolica plates line the walls of the grill and a mosaic from the original reception now frames the spa entrance.

The hotel is best known for its art collection of almost 500 works by some 120 artists, centred on contemporary Polish art and Polish modernism; pieces hang in the bedrooms too, and the collection’s manager leads private tours for guests. Raffles butlers look after every guest around the clock. The house also has a grill restaurant with a terrace, the historic Lourse patisserie, the Long Bar, a cigar salon and the Raffles Spa with its pool.

Location

The hotel stands at Krakowskie Przedmieście 13 in Śródmieście, right on the Royal Route at the edge of the Old Town. On foot it is 300 m to the Grand Theatre, home of the Polish National Opera, 700 m to the Royal Castle and about 1 km to the Copernicus Science Centre; Łazienki Park is 3.3 km away and Warszawa Centralna station 2 km. Warsaw Chopin Airport is about 25 minutes by car; the hotel runs its own limousine transfers and an on-call shuttle at extra charge. There is on-site parking.

Spa

Raffles Spa draws on Asian, Middle Eastern and European traditions and works with Aromatherapy Associates and Sisley. It has treatment rooms and a private VIP room for couples, a sauna, a steam room, experience showers, an ice fountain and the Wellness Lounge, along with an indoor counter-current pool. The menu covers personalised massages with natural products, facials designed by the partner brands and treatments for two.

Sports & leisure

The Technogym-equipped fitness rooms are open 24 hours, with personal training on request, and the Raffles Spa pool is there for laps. The concierge team arranges guided explorations of Warsaw shaped to each guest’s interests. For art lovers there are private tours of the hotel’s collection and the Art Afternoon Tea, a guided look at the collection followed by tea.

Restaurants & bars

Dining ranges from modern Polish cooking to a historic patisserie and a cigar salon:

  • Europejski Grill – the signature restaurant, a modern European take on Polish culinary heritage built on seasonal produce; breakfast with à la carte hot dishes is served here too
  • Europejski Grill Terrace – the restaurant’s terrace in season, with a seasonal Mediterranean-leaning menu
  • Lourse Warszawa – a patisserie reviving one of Warsaw’s best-loved old cake houses, with cakes and pastries both classic and contemporary
  • Long Bar – a cocktail bar devoted to classic mixology, home of the Singapore Sling
  • Humidor – an intimate cigar salon with single malts, Cognac and Armagnac
Swimming

Raffles Spa has an indoor counter-current pool for uninterrupted swimming, open daily from early morning to late evening.
