Hotel Bristol, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Warsaw

About this hotel

General information

Hotel Bristol is the classic grand hotel of Krakowskie Przedmieście, the most distinguished stretch of Warsaw’s Royal Route. The early-20th-century building is fronted by an Art Nouveau façade, while the interiors pair Art Deco references with a quiet contemporary hand: mahogany-framed windows, grey marble bathrooms and, in some suites, antiques from the early 1900s. Rooms look out over the Royal Route, a leafy courtyard or a city park.

Its best-known address is Café Bristol, a Viennese-style café with its own patisserie that has been a Warsaw meeting place for generations. Alongside it are a restaurant, two bars and a rooftop terrace above the Royal Route. The concierges belong to Les Clefs d’Or; every day at 11:00 they lead guests on a tour of the building, and a resident genealogist helps visitors trace Polish ancestry. Bristol Spa adds an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gym.

Location

The hotel stands at Krakowskie Przedmieście 42/44 in Śródmieście, a few minutes’ walk from the Old Town, the Royal Castle, the National Theatre and the Opera, and the National Museum; Wilanów Palace lies 12 km away. Warsaw Chopin Airport is about 15 km away and Warsaw-Modlin Mazovia Airport about 38 km; the hotel arranges transfers from both on request, and a private car with driver is also available.

Spa

Bristol Spa is a compact urban spa with a heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, relaxation area and treatment rooms. Treatments use the British brand AMRA: the Bristol Signature Journey combines a facial built on AMRA’s diamond technology, a massage with AMRA’s signature oil and a gold-infused finishing serum, alongside the Diamond Digital Detox Facial and a gentle lymphatic drainage massage suited to the end of a journey.

Sports & leisure

A well-equipped gym sits on the sixth floor, and Bristol Spa has the pool, sauna and steam room. The Les Clefs d’Or concierges run a daily tour of the historic building, help with tickets to museums, theatres and other city sights, and share their own recommendations for Warsaw. Guests researching their family history can work with the hotel’s professional genealogist.

For children

Children’s menus are offered in Column Bar & Restaurant, Café Bristol and through room service, drawing kits are handed out on request, and a PlayStation console with a choice of games can be borrowed for a fee. The concierges keep a family guide to Warsaw — museums, shows and other places children enjoy — and help with tickets.

Restaurants & bars

Dining revolves around the hotel’s celebrated café and a handful of bars; in-room dining runs around the clock, and afternoon tea is served with Dammann Frères teas.
