Hotel Bellotto

About this hotel

General information

Hotel Bellotto is a five-star boutique hotel set in a 16th-century palace on the edge of Warsaw’s Old Town. The building took on its Neoclassical appearance in the late 18th century, when the main block gained four-column porticoes and was flanked by wings ending in pavilions. Beneath it lie restored cellars with semicircular brick vaults, where old masonry meets contemporary design.

It is an intimate address, with just 20 rooms and suites, bright and generous in size and dressed in soft velours that play with light and shadow; each interior echoes the historic character of the palace. The hotel has an Italian restaurant, Focaccia Ristorante, the Miodowa Café patisserie in the left wing, the Bianco Lobby Bar and a fireplace room, a billiards club in the cellars and a relaxation area with saunas and a gym under the roof. Seven palace rooms and a vaulted underground space of more than 350 m² host celebrations and meetings.

Location

The hotel stands on the corner of Senatorska and Miodowa streets in Śródmieście, right by the Old Town: the Royal Castle is about 200 m away and the Grand Theatre 300 m, with Castle Square and the Old Town Market Place a few minutes’ walk away. Among the places the hotel suggests are the Vistula boulevards, Łazienki Park and the Copernicus Science Centre. A guarded, paid car park for up to 80 cars sits directly in front of the palace and spaces can be reserved; it also has a 22 kW electric-vehicle charging station for two cars.

Spa

Spa For You is a day spa set within the hotel’s palace interiors, with intimate treatment rooms. Its menu covers massages and facial and body treatments, tailored by the therapists to each guest. The relaxation area on the top floor has a dry sauna (70–120 °C) and a high-humidity steam room (45–65 °C).

Sports & leisure

The top floor has a room with cardio machines and equipment for weight training. In the palace’s vaulted cellars, a billiards club offers professional tables, available around the clock when booked at reception. The concierge can arrange a private walking tour of Warsaw with a licensed guide in the language of the guest’s choice, as well as a day trip to the Białowieża Forest.

Restaurants & bars

Dining is spread across the palace and its left wing.

  • Focaccia Ristorante — Italian cooking with a modern touch: handmade pasta, Mediterranean starters, meat and seafood, Italian desserts, a daily tasting menu of five or seven dishes in smaller portions and thin, crisp pizza made in front of guests; it also serves lunch and coffee
  • Miodowa Café — a patisserie on the corner of Senatorska and Miodowa streets, where desserts blend modern and traditional techniques; in the 18th century the same spot was home to one of the city’s best-known confectioners
  • Bianco Lobby Bar — a bar beside reception on the ground floor, serving coffee, wine, cocktails, spirits and light dishes
  • Club Room — a fireplace room next to the bar for a quiet evening, with drinks and food from the bar

Breakfast is served à la carte with no limits: hot dishes, bread baked in-house, scrambled eggs from organic Green-legged Partridge hens, fresh juices and desserts from Miodowa Café.

Pets

Pets are welcome. The animal’s species, breed and size should be given when booking; it must be vaccinated and dewormed, and dogs need a current rabies vaccination certificate. Each four-legged guest receives a bed and bowls. The number of pets is limited, extra fees and a deposit apply, and in public areas pets must be on a lead or in a carrier.

Rooms

There are 20 rooms and suites across the two wings of the palace; owing to the historic layout, sizes and arrangements vary. A lift serves only one wing, so a room with lift access is best requested in advance.

In each room

Air conditioning, safe, desk, smart TV with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi, minibar and fridge, tea and coffee set, telephone, iron and ironing board, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries and hairdryer; bathroom with a shower or a bathtub.

27–42 m²

Superior

A room whose size follows the palace’s layout, with a king bed or two single beds, pale velours and lamps with dark silk shades, and windows facing the Old Town or the courtyard. Some rooms have a kitchenette, and guests can choose a bathroom with a shower or a bathtub.

40–51 m²

Apartment

A suite with a living room holding a seating area, a sofa bed and a kitchenette, and a bedroom with a king bed; black-oak furniture is set against warm greys. Windows face the Old Town or the courtyard, and some apartments occupy the palace’s corner turrets.

66–75 m²

Deluxe Apartment

The hotel’s largest suites, in the left and right wings: a separate living room with two sofa beds and a kitchenette, and a well-soundproofed bedroom with a king bed and heavy velour curtains. Original realist watercolours hang on the walls, and the windows look out over the Old Town.
