General information
Hyatt Regency Panama City is a large city hotel in the business district of Panama City, set up as well for a working trip as for a few days of leisure. Its 382 rooms and suites are spread across two towers. The interiors are modern and restrained: carved wooden headboards and bedside tables nod to local craftsmanship, bathrooms are finished in green marble, and many windows look out over the skyline.
Four venues cover the day — Rulfo, with Panamanian and Latin American cooking, the Amado coffee shop, the Belisario wine bar and Refugio, a hidden cocktail bar. On the 14th floor, the Regency Club Lounge serves guests in club rooms. An outdoor pool framed by tropical planting, a 24-hour gym and more than 2,200 m² of event space — three ballrooms, meeting rooms and an open-air terrace — complete the picture.
Location
The hotel stands on Calle 52 in Panama City's business district. Casco Viejo (Casco Antiguo), the city's historic quarter and a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with Panamá Viejo, is about 5 km away, the Metropolitan Natural Park roughly 3 km and Portobelo on the Caribbean coast about 65 km. Panama City's international airport is 24 km from the hotel. Guests' cars are parked by hotel staff.
Sports & leisure
The two-level gym is open around the clock, with cardio and strength machines, free weights, resistance bands and cold towels. The outdoor pool and its deck are surrounded by tropical plants. Among the places the hotel suggests nearby are the historic squares of Casco Viejo and the Metropolitan Natural Park, where rainforest wildlife can be seen without leaving the city. A concierge and laundry service are on hand.
