Bristol Panama, a Registry Collection Hotel

About this hotel

General information

Bristol Panama is an intimate city hotel in Marbella, a business district in the centre of Panama City. Its 125 rooms and suites are split between two buildings, the Classic Tower and the Executive Tower, where some suites come with their own kitchen. Classic interiors with marble bathrooms are set off by contemporary art throughout the building, curated exhibitions and, in the restaurant, a rotating collection of Panamanian work.

Life here centres on SalSíPuedes, a restaurant where Panamanian produce meets the world's kitchens, and on B | Le Bar du Bristol with its planted terrace looking out over the city lights. A spa with skyline views occupies the 25th floor, and 11 colonial-style rooms host meetings and celebrations for up to 250 guests. The concierge and in-room dining run around the clock, and valet parking is included in the stay.

Location

The hotel sits in Marbella, in the centre of Panama City. The waterfront, with paths for walking and cycling, is about 2 km away, the Metropolitan Natural Park roughly 4.5 km, Casco Viejo (Casco Antiguo), the city's historic quarter and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, about 5 km, and the Biomuseo, with views of the Panama Canal, about 9 km. Panama City's international airport is 21 km away, around 23 minutes by car; the hotel arranges airport transfers on request.

Spa

The Spa at Bristol Panama fills the 25th floor, its windows framing the skyline. Treatments for one, for couples and for small groups draw on traditional remedies and organic, locally sourced ingredients. Guests also have a steam room, a relaxation room overlooking the city and a beauty salon; the relaxation room hosts yoga, Pilates and meditation sessions booked in advance.

Sports & leisure

The gym and the pool are open 24 hours. Booked in advance, there are sessions with a personal trainer, morning yoga or Pilates on the 25th floor, or a walk through the Metropolitan Natural Park followed by a massage at the spa. The hotel also runs food and drink experiences:

  • a visit to the city's seafood market with the chef on the way to Casco Viejo, then a ceviche workshop at SalSíPuedes
  • a Panamanian cooking class built on classic local recipes
  • a tasting of Geisha coffee from the Chiriquí highlands, paired with cacao
  • a Panamanian rum tasting
  • a mixology class: three house cocktails with infusions and syrups
  • a cacao workshop devoted to cacao from Bocas del Toro

The concierge helps plan city tours and trips to the Panama Canal.

Restaurants & bars

Dining at Bristol Panama centres on two venues, and in-room dining is available around the clock.

  • SalSíPuedes — the restaurant on the 5th floor of the Executive Tower: Afro-Panamanian and Peruvian spices alongside Italian dishes, French bistro cooking, Spanish tapas and Chinese street food; a breakfast buffet with local specialities, lunch and dinner, signature cocktails made with Panamanian ingredients, and an extended family breakfast on Sundays
  • B | Le Bar du Bristol — a cocktail bar serving Mediterranean tapas inspired by Italy, Spain, France and Greece, with a well-chosen wine list and a planted terrace overlooking the city
Swimming

An outdoor pool with a sun terrace is open 24 hours a day.
