The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort

About this hotel

General information

The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort occupies 360 metres of its own shoreline in Al Mouj, a waterfront district of Muscat. The five-star resort has 250 rooms and suites, facing either the sea or the greens of the golf course a few steps away. Interiors take their cue from luxury yachts, in navy, white and tan with polished metal and nautical detailing.

Service follows the St. Regis traditions: round-the-clock butlers, the ritual of afternoon tea and the Family Traditions programme. Around this sit the Vilebrequin La Plage beach club, a Guerlain spa and a broad collection of restaurants ranging from Greek to Peruvian. For celebrations there is the St. Regis Grand Ballroom, at 1,350 m² the largest in Muscat and divisible into three sections, plus ten further meeting rooms.

Location

The resort sits on the seafront in Al Mouj, next to the marina and within easy reach of the Royal Opera House Muscat and the Daymaniyat Islands. Muscat International Airport is about 8.1 km away; there is no scheduled shuttle, but the concierge arranges airport transfers on request, and private cars and limousines are available on site. Self-parking and valet parking are free for guests. The Grand Mosque, Muttrah Souq, Nizwa Fort and the Jebel Akhdar and Jebel Shams mountains are all within day-trip range.

Spa

Guerlain Spa sits by the beach, with 11 treatment rooms including two couples' suites, a hammam, saunas and steam rooms, separate lounges for men and women, and a scent bar alongside Guerlain fragrance, make-up and skincare. The menu covers massages, facials, body rituals, manicures and pedicures, scalp and hair care and treatments for men; the signature Legend of Incense ritual pairs a facial and body treatment with an oud fragrance. The Royal Suite at Guerlain is a private space for two with its own sauna and steam room. Treatments are by appointment.

Sports & leisure

Paddleboards, kayaks and snorkelling gear are available off the beach, and on request the resort arranges diving, sunset cruises along the Muscat coast and dolphin-watching trips. A padel court on the roof comes with panoramic views. Next door, Al Mouj Golf is a par-72 championship course running six kilometres along the coast, with views of the ocean and the Hajar Mountains. The Fit Lounge fitness centre has cardio and strength equipment, free weights and reformer Pilates, with a separate women-only zone.

For children

The Adventure Hub kids' club is free and open daily, with a games and TV area, an arts and crafts corner, a reading corner and a children's pool. The Family Traditions programme adds guided tours, cultural workshops and creative sessions for families, and the two-bedroom suites and kitchen-equipped duplexes suit parents travelling with children. Cots can be placed in the rooms.

The resort gathers well-known restaurant names from around the world, and private in-room dining runs around the clock.
