General information
Al Husn Hotel Muscat is a quiet adults-only resort for guests aged 16 and over, set on a clifftop above its own beach on the Gulf of Oman, within the Barr Al Jissah resort near Muscat. Its infinity pool sits at the cliff edge with views across the water to the Barr Al Jissah Arch, and each of the 180 rooms and suites has a balcony facing the gardens or the sea.
Privacy and calm set the tone. Al Husn's own world is small and composed: three restaurants, the frankincense-based Luban Spa and the beach. Guests are also free to use the shared facilities of the wider Barr Al Jissah resort, spread across three beachfront locations — restaurants serving cuisines from around the world, pool bars, lounges, wellness experiences and water activities — and then retreat to the hush of their own hotel at whatever pace suits them.
Location
The hotel lies in the Barr Al Jissah resort area on the Gulf of Oman, 15 km from central Muscat and the National Museum of Oman. Muttrah Souq is 20 km away (under half an hour), the Royal Opera House Muscat 26 km and the Grand Mosque 38 km. Muscat International Airport is 44 km, about 45 minutes by car; self-parking and valet parking are complimentary.
Spa
Luban Spa draws on Oman's age-old wellness traditions, with treatments built around local rituals and the restorative qualities of frankincense, in a calm Arabian setting with an outdoor relaxation area. The spa is open to guests aged 16 and over, and treatments should be booked in advance. The hotel's fitness centre adds a sauna and a steam room.
Sports & leisure
On site there is a heated clifftop infinity pool with a lifeguard, a fitness centre with cardio, strength and balance equipment, a sauna and steam room, tennis and the private beach. Al Husn guests can also use the shared offer of the wider Barr Al Jissah resort — wellness experiences, water activities and dining across its three beachfront locations.

The hotel is adults-only and welcomes guests aged 16 and over; there are no cots, childcare or children's menu.
Restaurants & bars
All three of Al Husn's restaurants look out to sea, and breakfast is a buffet.
- Sultanah — a restaurant styled after Oman's historic trading vessels: à la carte Mediterranean cooking with subtle Omani touches and sweeping sea views, from breakfast to dinner
- Mahhara Beach Restaurant — relaxed dining at the water's edge, with grilled dishes, fresh flavours and long, unhurried lunches
- Al Muheet — easy coastal lunches beside the infinity pool, looking over the Gulf of Oman to the Barr Al Jissah Arch
There is room service and a 24-hour market. Guests can also dine at the restaurants, pool bars, lounges and beachfront venues across the three beachfront locations of the Barr Al Jissah resort.
Swimming
The hotel has its own private beach on the Gulf of Oman. High above the water, at the cliff edge, is the heated infinity pool, staffed by a lifeguard and looking out to the sea and the Barr Al Jissah Arch.
Pets
Pets are not allowed; service animals are welcome.

The hotel has 180 rooms and suites from 48 m², each with a balcony facing the pool and gardens or the sea. Premier rooms and all suites include a complimentary minibar, afternoon tea and an aperitif hour every day.
