Park Hyatt Auckland

About this hotel

General information

Park Hyatt Auckland sits at the water’s edge in Wynyard Quarter on the Auckland waterfront. Its windows take in the moored yachts of the Lighter Basin and, beyond, the Waitematā Harbour and the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

The hotel has 195 contemporary rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows, most of them facing the water. Guests have four restaurants and bars built around New Zealand produce, a spa with a hydrotherapy area, a 25-metre infinity pool overlooking the Lighter Basin and a fitness centre. The top-floor suites open onto broad furnished terraces, and the Presidential Suite adds a private garden.

Location

The hotel is at 99 Halsey Street in Wynyard Quarter, on Auckland’s waterfront and 21 km from Auckland Airport. The Viaduct Harbour, Weta Workshop Unleashed, the All Blacks Experience and the shops of Britomart, Commercial Bay and Queen Street are all within easy reach. Valet parking runs around the clock, with electric-vehicle charging.

Spa

The Spa at Park Hyatt Auckland offers massages, facials, body rituals, foot, hand and nail treatments and couples’ journeys in a spacious double room. Aromatherapy massages use organic iKOU oils, and facials draw on Australian fruit and flower extracts. The hydrotherapy area has hydrotherapy pools, a Himalayan salt sauna and a steam room.

Sports & leisure

The 25-metre infinity pool and its sun deck overlook the Lighter Basin. The daylit fitness centre has Technogym cardio and strength equipment, free weights and functional training space, with a separate studio for yoga and Pilates. The marina, the waterfront promenade and Auckland’s parks and beaches are close by.

For children

For families the hotel suggests the 65 m² 1 King Bed Deluxe and the rooftop rooms with balconies; each suite can be joined to an adjoining room to make a two-bedroom apartment for up to five guests.

Restaurants & bars

The four venues focus on New Zealand produce, local wine and craft beer, and in-room dining runs around the clock.

  • Onemata — the waterfront restaurant: familiar New Zealand dishes from the grill and wok, the seasonal Taste of Onemata menu with wine pairings, and a breakfast buffet with a hearth oven
  • Living Room — a harbourside lounge serving share-style menus, lunches and afternoon tea
  • The Pantry — a waterfront café for coffee, pastries and comforting dishes
  • Captain's Bar — a fireside bar with an outdoor terrace over the water, a range of rums and classic cocktails with a local twist
Pets

Pets are not allowed in the hotel.

Rooms
