Wyndham Grand Yangon is a 20-storey city hotel on the shore of Kandawgyi Lake, set within the Kantharyar Centre, a mixed-use complex of offices and shops. Its contemporary interiors are calm and understated, and the upper floors look out over the lake, the city and the golden Shwedagon Pagoda. The hotel is built as much for business trips as for exploring Yangon.
There are 291 rooms, 20 of them suites, with floors 17 to 20 given over to club categories that come with Executive Lounge access. The public spaces gather on the fourth floor: the restaurant, the lobby bar, the spa and an outdoor pool with a sundeck. For conferences, banquets and weddings the hotel has 2,040 m² of event space, including a ballroom and an outdoor area.
Location
The hotel stands on the shore of Kandawgyi Lake in Yangon, about 1.5 km from Shwedagon Pagoda, about 3 km from Bogyoke Market and the city centre, and about 15 km from Yangon International Airport. An airport shuttle is offered, a free daily shuttle runs to the city centre, including Bogyoke Market, and on-site parking is free.
Spa
The Spa on the fourth floor specialises in Asian massage techniques, with single and double treatment rooms. The hotel also has a beauty salon.
Sports & leisure
The modern gym has cardio machines, free weights and a jogging track. On the fourth floor are an outdoor infinity pool, a sundeck with loungers and a poolside bar, with the spa's massage rooms close by. The concierge helps with tickets and city tours.
For children
Children have their own pool and a play area, and the hotel can arrange babysitting on request.
Restaurants & bars
Dining is centred on the fourth floor, food from the restaurants can be ordered to the room around the clock, and a buffet breakfast is included in the stay.

Rooms and suites occupy floors 5 to 20: standard categories from 46 m², club rooms on the top floors with Executive Lounge access, and suites from 95 m² up to 320 m². Bathrooms are finished in marble, with a rain shower and a bathtub.
Each room has free Wi-Fi, a 52-inch TV, a minibar, a desk with an ergonomic chair, a laptop-sized safe, a coffee and tea maker, an iron, a hairdryer, bottled water, slippers, a pillow-top mattress and a marble bathroom with a rain shower, a bathtub and bathrobes.
