General information
Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon sits on the shore of Kandawgyi Lake in Yangon, set in tropical gardens with Shwedagon Pagoda in view. Its 300 rooms and suites combine touches of traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort, and every one has its own balcony.
Much of the hotel's life unfolds around the garden: an infinity-edge pool among coconut palms, a lakeside terrace made for sunset drinks, and Nemita Spa on the ground floor. Guests in Chatrium Club categories have the Chatrium Club Lounge to themselves, with views of the lake and the pagoda. A grand ballroom and five meeting rooms cater for events, and the gardens are used for weddings. Rooms and all indoor areas are non-smoking.
Location
The hotel stands on Natmauk Road, right on the shore of Kandawgyi Lake, about a 15-minute walk from Shwedagon Pagoda. Yangon International Airport is roughly 45 minutes away by car, depending on traffic; the hotel arranges transfers on request and runs a complimentary shuttle bus to the city centre and the main sights.
Spa
Nemita Spa, on the ground floor, takes a holistic approach to wellbeing, with a menu of massages, body scrubs and facials. It is open daily from morning until late evening.
Sports & leisure
A fully equipped fitness club and the garden pool are open from early morning until late evening. For exploring, a complimentary shuttle bus runs to the city centre and Yangon's main sights, and Shwedagon Pagoda is within walking distance.

Restaurants & bars
A restaurant, a pool bar and a terrace above the gardens carry the day from breakfast to evening cocktails:
- The Emporia Restaurant — all-day dining with Western, Chinese, Myanmar and wider Asian dishes, from Cantonese dim sum to sushi and sashimi; buffet breakfast and à la carte
- Lobby Lounge — coffee, afternoon tea and cocktails, spilling out onto the Sunset Terrace above the pool, gardens and lake
- Pool Bar — drinks and light snacks by the water during the day
- Chatrium Club Lounge — for Club guests: coffee and tea through the day, afternoon tea and evening drinks with snacks
- In-room dining — meals can also be served on the balcony
Swimming
The outdoor infinity-edge pool lies at garden level among coconut palms, looking out over tropical greenery and the lake; loungers surround the deck and the Pool Bar is close by.

The hotel has 300 rooms and suites, from 40 m² Deluxe rooms with city, garden, lake or pagoda views up to the 300 m² Royal Suite. Club categories include access to the Chatrium Club Lounge, with afternoon tea, evening drinks and late check-out subject to availability.
Every room has a private balcony, satellite TV, internet access, air conditioning, a minibar and fridge, a safe, a kettle with tea and coffee, bathrobes and slippers, a hairdryer, a desk and a seating area.
