About this hotel
General information
Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo stands on Square Beaumarchais, looking out over the sea and the Rock crowned by the Prince’s Palace, a few minutes’ walk from Casino Square. The Belle Époque building is best known for its Winter Garden and the glass dome designed by Gustave Eiffel, a structure listed as a historic monument. The Salle Belle Epoque shares that status, with ten pink marble columns, a rotunda and a ceiling on which Gabriel Ferrier painted the Three Graces.
There are 262 rooms and suites, including the Diamond Suites collection, part of it designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon. Dining is in the hands of Yannick Alléno: his Pavyllon Monte-Carlo holds one Michelin star and L’Abysse Monte-Carlo two. Fourteen banqueting and meeting rooms add up to 1,309 m², and the Midi terrace overlooks the port and the palace. The hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and holds Green Globe Gold certification.
Location
The hotel sits in central Monte-Carlo on Square Beaumarchais, close to Casino Square. Nice international airport is 30 km away, about 35 minutes by road, and Monaco Monte-Carlo station is a 9-minute walk. Transfers from the airport are by limousine, taxi or helicopter, and a private shuttle links the addresses of the Monte-Carlo SBM resort.
Spa
Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo, a 6,600 m² wellness centre connected to the hotel, is open to guests on privileged terms. It has a heated indoor seawater pool facing the Mediterranean, an outdoor whirlpool looking onto the port, a solarium, sauna, hammam, a panoramic gym and rooms for massage and technology-led treatments. A team of therapists, a physician, a nutritionist and trainers builds personal programmes, with La Prairie and Decorté among the partner brands. There is also a beauty salon, a Rossano Ferretti hair salon, L’Hirondelle for healthy Mediterranean cooking and L’Atlantide bar.
Sports & leisure
The pool and gym are at Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo, and in season guests use the Monte-Carlo Beach Club, with its Olympic-size pool, a refurbished gym, padel courts and water sports from paddleboarding and kayaking to pedalos and water bikes. The hotel also opens the doors of the private Monte-Carlo Country Club (21 sea-view clay courts, two hard courts and two squash courts) and the Monte-Carlo Golf Club, and resort guests enter the Casino de Monte-Carlo free of charge.
For children
The Kids Room opens during school holidays (except in February) for hotel guests aged 4–12; under-sixes stay with an adult. Activity leaders run games, and the Ateliers des petits connaisseurs workshops cover painting, sculpture and pastry-making. In season the Monte-Carlo Kids Club by Petit VIP at Monte-Carlo Beach takes children aged 4–12.
