The Ritz-Carlton, Mexico City

About this hotel

General information

The Ritz-Carlton, Mexico City occupies the upper levels of the 58-storey Chapultepec Uno tower on Paseo de la Reforma, with rooms on floors 37 to 47 looking out over Chapultepec Forest, Chapultepec Castle and the skyline. Architecture and interiors take their cue from Mexican traditions and landscapes, surrealism, ancient ritual and folklore: smoke-like forms drift through the spaces as a symbol of cleansing and renewal, and floor-to-ceiling windows turn the city into a living canvas.

Art runs as a thread of its own. For the ten lift lobbies, artist Omar Barquet created New Blue, a series reinterpreting the Ritz-Carlton signature blue, while Emilio Chapela made original works for selected rooms and suites. The tower also holds the Samos Sabores Míos restaurant, the rooftop cocktail bar Carlotta Reforma, a spa with pool, a Club Lounge and The Ritz-Carlton Residences.

Location

Paseo de la Reforma 509, Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City — above Chapultepec Forest and near Chapultepec metro station. Benito Juárez International Airport is 15.1 km away. Helipads lie less than 1.6 km from the hotel, with transport provided for guests.

Spa

The Ritz-Carlton Spa pairs natural ingredients, herbs and botanicals with the healing and spiritual traditions of Aztec culture. The menu includes the Meaningful Wellness Journeys for body, mind and skin, aromatherapy and deep-muscle massages, side-by-side massages in the couples’ suite, private yoga on request, a steam room and the Timeless Capsule for express recovery with a Fusion massage chair and a Zero Gravity chair.

Sports & leisure

A 24-hour fitness centre with panoramic views, an indoor spa pool, a steam room and private yoga sessions with an instructor. The hotel also curates cultural, art and culinary experiences across Mexico City.

Restaurants & bars

Samos Sabores Míos reinterprets Mexican cuisine through seasonal local produce and precise technique; it serves from early morning to late evening, and its modular tables and Art Deco-inspired mirrored surfaces nod to sobremesa, the long Mexican family meal, with Chapultepec Castle as a backdrop. Carlotta Reforma is an intimate rooftop cocktail bar with creative mixology, fine spirits and music; each evening at 6 pm it stages Pasaje, a ritual built around a cocktail of tequila, citrus and warm spices. In-room dining runs around the clock.

Swimming

A small indoor pool within the spa, framed by elegant interiors, is meant for quiet swims and relaxation; it is open daily from 8 am to 9 pm.

Pets

Up to two pets are welcome.
