General information
Montage Los Cabos spreads across 39 acres on Santa Maria Bay, one of the few coves in Los Cabos where the water is calm enough for easy swimming. It sits within the private Twin Dolphin community between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, its low white buildings stepping down to a sandy beach, with the Sea of Cortés in view from most terraces.
There are 122 rooms, suites and casas, plus 52 Montage Residences with full kitchens that are also let to guests. Even the entry rooms exceed 80 m², and many have their own pool. The resort is valued for its swimmable beach, snorkelling straight off the shore, a spa of some 40,000 sq ft and the neighbouring Twin Dolphin Club golf course.
Location
The resort lies on Santa Maria Bay at kilometre 12.5 of the Transpeninsular Highway, about 18 minutes from central Cabo San Lucas and 27 km from Los Cabos International Airport. Private airport transfers are arranged by the hotel.
Spa
Spa Montage covers some 40,000 sq ft and draws on the Mexican folklore of the Tree of Life and the healing plants of the desert. It has 12 treatment rooms, garden relaxation lounges, separate men’s and women’s Art of Spa areas with steam rooms and hot and cold plunge pools, a salon and the adults-only Serenity Pool with cabanas. The signature Art of Spa ritual alternates heat and cold, while the Mezcal Renewal Massage builds on the traditional Mexican friega friction massage.
Sports & leisure
The 24-hour fitness centre is equipped by Technogym, with adjoining movement and yoga studios and an outdoor lap pool; classes include yoga, breathwork, meditation and guided ice bathing. The Compass adventure centre offers PADI certification and dives, including night dives on the bay’s coral reef, snorkelling, seabobs, paddleboarding and kayaks, yacht trips on the Sea of Cortés, UTV routes through the desert to a 12-metre waterfall and, from mid-December to mid-April, whale watching. Golfers play the 19-hole Twin Dolphin Club course by Fred Couples, with sea views from every tee.
For children
The Paintbox kids’ club welcomes children aged 5–12 for art, crafts, outdoor play and nature-themed activities, with meals included. Children’s Night Out runs on Friday and Saturday evenings, teenagers have their own programme, and younger guests collect Montage Merits badges for completed activities. Families also have a family area in the main pool, children’s menus in the restaurants, connecting rooms and multi-bedroom suites and residences; cots are provided free of charge.
Restaurants & bars
Dining draws on Mexican traditions and the seafood of Baja California Sur.

Swimming
Santa Maria Bay is a protected marine sanctuary with warm, gentle water for swimming and snorkelling; beach butlers set out loungers, umbrellas and refreshments, and beach beds can be reserved. The main pool has cabanas, a family-friendly upper pool and an adults-only infinity pool overlooking the sea; a further adults-only pool, Serenity, sits within the spa.
Pets
Well-behaved dogs and cats under 40 lb are welcome, up to two per room. Pets must not be left unattended and stay on a lead outdoors; they are not allowed in pool, dining, spa or fitness areas.
Rooms
Rooms, suites and casas sit above Santa Maria Bay, while the residences occupy the hillside nearby, reached by footpath or a round-the-clock golf-cart service. Every unit has a balcony or terrace and an outdoor shower, and many have a private pool.
Rooms have a marble bathroom with a bathtub and separate indoor and outdoor showers, a sitting area with a 55-inch television and a Bose Bluetooth speaker.
