General information
Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita spreads along the east coast of the island, between empty white beaches, a sheltered lagoon and the open Indian Ocean. Its villas, each with a private pool and garden, sit among tropical greenery near the sand, and a number of them occupy a secluded private island.
The resort is defined by two world-class golf courses, a spa with treatment pavilions set over the water and a line-up of restaurants and bars drawing on several culinary traditions. There is also a water sports centre, clubs for children and teenagers, a library, boutiques, a conference room for up to 140 guests and outdoor event spaces. Butler and concierge service, limousine transfers and a helipad are available, and the resort arranges weddings and honeymoon programmes.
Location
The resort lies beside a private beach on the east coast of Mauritius, 35 km — around 45 minutes by car — from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. The capital, Port Louis, and the resort town of Grand Baie are both roughly an hour’s drive away.
Spa
The spa is built around 12 treatment pavilions over the lagoon, with a sauna and open-air shower, alongside a beauty salon, spa boutique and indoor and outdoor relaxation areas. Face and body programmes combine Eastern traditions with Western techniques and use natural tropical ingredients, some grown in the resort’s own garden.
Sports & leisure
The range of activities is broad:
- a golf club with an academy and two 18-hole courses — a championship course designed by Ernie Els and a Bernhard Langer course on Île aux Cerfs
- a fitness centre with a yoga studio, plus aerobics, aqua aerobics and boxing classes
- two floodlit tennis courts
- a water sports centre, boat trips and fishing
- marine discovery sessions led by a marine biologist, cycling, cooking classes, entertainment and excursions
- four outdoor swimming pools
- bicycles, plus equipment for water sports, snorkelling, tennis and golf, available to hire
For children
Hobbit Village, for children aged 4–9, has its own pool, playrooms, playground, amphitheatre, bakery and rest room. Teenagers gather at Karokan, with a home cinema, billiards, table tennis, and computer and board games. The Kids For All Seasons programme and family activities round things out, facilities for travelling with children are provided, and babysitting is available on request.

Restaurants and bars range across Italian, Indian, Japanese and island cooking.

- Blu’Zil — lounge bar overlooking the lagoon, suited to an aperitif or evening cocktail
- Rum Library — rums from the Vanilla Islands, local herbal infusions, shisha, cigars and live music
In-villa dining and private dining are also available.
Swimming
The resort’s sandy beaches are sheltered from the wind, and a boat shuttles guests to a further beach on the private island of Île aux Cerfs.
Rooms
The 136 villas, grouped as Villa, Private Retreat and Royal Island Sanctuary, are set among mangroves near the beach and on the private island of Île aux Cerfs. Traditional Mauritian architecture meets contemporary design, and terraces with private pools look out over tropical gardens, the lagoon or the ocean.
Every villa has air conditioning, a ceiling fan, telephone, flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, a safe, minibar and tea and coffee facilities with a Nespresso machine, while the bathroom offers a bath, shower, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers.
Garden Pool Villa

Five Bedroom Residence with Pool
A two-level residence on a secluded peninsula at the southern end of the resort, with five bedrooms (three king, two with two twin beds), living rooms, kitchen, five bathrooms, laundry, garage, balconies and a terrace with two pools overlooking the garden. Sleeps up to ten adults, or six adults and four children.
Five Bedroom Oceanfront Residence with Pool
A two-level residence on a secluded lagoon-side peninsula at the resort’s southern tip, with five bedrooms, living rooms, kitchen, an upper panoramic terrace and a terrace with two heated pools and a dining gazebo facing the ocean. Sleeps up to ten adults plus two children.
