General information
You & Me Maldives is an adults-only island (16 and over) in Raa Atoll, in a quiet, little-developed corner of the archipelago. Part of The Cocoon Collection, it is designed for couples, honeymooners, friends and solo travellers: there are no children's facilities, but plenty of secluded spots for two. Of its 109 villas and suites, 99 stand over the lagoon and ten sit directly on the beach.
The look is a warm rustic chic: handmade furniture in natural wood with echoes of African craft, open spaces and natural textures. The resort runs on a Premium All-Inclusive basis, with breakfast in the main restaurant and lunch and dinner at any of five à la carte restaurants. The standout is H2O, an underwater restaurant six metres below the surface. Island hosts look after guests around the clock, there is a clinic with a doctor and a nurse, and resort time runs one hour ahead of Malé.
Location
The island of Uthurumaafaru lies in Raa Atoll. The seaplane from Velana International Airport in Malé takes 45 minutes, and guests wait for it in The Cocoon Collection lounge at the seaplane terminal. Evening arrivals take a different route: a 30-minute domestic flight to Ifuru Airport, then a 20-minute speedboat ride.
Spa
You & Me Spa by Elizabeth Arden sits over the ocean: four separate overwater bungalows serve as treatment rooms, and a glass porthole beneath the massage bed looks down into the lagoon. There is a sauna, a steam room and an open-air jacuzzi. Products come from Elizabeth Arden PRO and HESITO, and the menu covers facials, peels, hydrating and firming body treatments, a marine-salt body scrub, Balinese and lava stone massages, a shiatsu and Swedish combination, an oil-free massage with yoga stretches, pregnancy massage and foot reflexology, for one guest or for couples.
Sports & leisure
The Dive Mission dive centre sits on the arrival jetty and runs SSI courses from beginner to professional level, with traditional dhoni boats reaching dive sites 10–60 minutes away. Walls and channels around the atoll bring manta and eagle rays, turtles, Napoleon wrasse, grey reef sharks and tuna; two-tank and full-day trips are offered.
- on the water: jet skis, flyboarding, towed tubes, sailing and the Seabob underwater scooter, with kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and snorkelling gear included in the stay
- boat trips: a sunset dolphin cruise, a picnic on a deserted islet, snorkelling trips, sunrise and sunset fishing, big-game fishing for sailfish, marlin and dorado, a local island visit and an excursion to Hanifaru Bay
- sport and movement: a gym with a view, a yoga pavilion, sunrise and sunset yoga, Pilates, Zumba, aqua fitness, beach volleyball and beach tennis, and a volleyball and futsal court
- evenings: live music, DJs, a boduberu Maldivian drumming show, a sandbank party, the White Party, a glow disco, karaoke and cinema under the stars
- the IMStudio photo studio for shoots at the island's most photogenic spots, plus beach wedding ceremonies
Restaurants & bars
The island has six restaurants and a bar; all except H2O are part of the Premium All-Inclusive plan, and drinks by the glass are served daily from 10:00 to 02:00. Three themed nights include a seafood barbecue with lobster, prawns and oysters, and in-villa dining is available.
- The Sand — the main restaurant, for breakfast and dinner: international dishes from live cooking stations, served at the table, with its own wine cellar
- Green Carpet — lunch by the pool, light dishes built on seasonal produce
- Rising Sun — teppanyaki: meat, fish and Japanese specialities cooked on a hot steel grill in front of guests
- La Pasta — Italian on the beach, with handmade pasta and pizza at lunch and dinner
- Sushi Bar — by the sea, serving sushi and light, protein-rich dishes that blend Japanese, Maldivian and international influences
- H2O — an underwater restaurant six metres down with a 360-degree view of the reef: set menus of five courses at lunch and seven at dinner, only 20 seats, reservation required
- Cheers Bar — beside the main pool: cocktails, wines and Champagne, afternoon tea and coffee with snacks, and live music every evening
Swimming
A wide turquoise lagoon surrounds the island: many overwater suites have decks with direct access to the water, snorkelling starts right from the villas, and the house reef is a short boat ride away. When the sea is rough there can be strong currents in front of the villas, so the main pool is the better choice then. Four categories have a private pool, the beach suites have their own stretch of private beach, and the Aqua Suite with Slide and the You & Me Suite have slides straight into the lagoon.
Rooms
The island has 109 villas and suites: 99 over the water and ten on the beach. Interiors are rustic in style, with polished wooden floors, handmade natural-wood furniture and a king-size bed turned towards the ocean.
Every villa has air conditioning and a ceiling fan, a rain shower, minibar and wine cooler, flat-screen TV, tea and coffee, a desk, hairdryer, telephone, safe and free Wi-Fi, with housekeeping twice a day.
Lagoon Villa

Lagoon Suite

You & Me Suite with Private Pool & Slide
The resort's largest suite, set over the water in a secluded part of the lagoon facing the sunset: a master bedroom, a bathroom with a bathtub for two and a separate shower, a large living area with a pool table, a recreation room with a private gym and massage beds, an infinity pool and a water slide. Sleeps up to three adults.
