General information
Patina Maldives opened in May 2021 on the green Fari Islands in North Malé Atoll. It was designed by Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan, whose hand shows throughout: indoors and outdoors run into each other, forms are pared back and materials are chosen with the environment in mind. Villas are filled with light, with generous pool terraces and full-height windows on three sides looking onto tropical greenery, white beaches and the ocean.
The resort caters to guests of every age, with restaurants spanning several cuisines, activities for adults and children, diving and a spa. There is also a boutique, library, art gallery, concierge, laundry service and a marina with berths for 20 yachts. Weddings and honeymoon programmes can be arranged.
Location
The resort lies on the Fari Islands in North Malé Atoll, 45 minutes by speedboat from Malé International Airport.
Spa
Flow spa has seven treatment rooms, a watsu hydrotherapy pool, a hammam, a yoga and Pilates pavilion and relaxation areas. Treatments are based on natural botanical and marine ingredients.
Sports & leisure
There are two outdoor pools, a fitness centre, tennis courts, water sports and dive centres, and classes in yoga and Pilates. Evenings bring live music and entertainment; days can be filled with cycling, boat trips, fishing and excursions. Bicycles and diving, snorkelling and water sports equipment are available to hire.
For children
The Footprints children’s centre runs a full programme of play, sport and learning for younger guests, and babysitting can be arranged on request.

Swimming
The islands are fringed with sandy beaches, one of them home to a beach club.
Rooms
There are 90 villas and 20 studios. The studios sit at the heart of the resort beside Fari Marina Village, while the villas are set in tropical gardens by the beach or over the lagoon, their contemporary design nodding to Maldivian motifs.
Each has air conditioning, floor-to-ceiling windows with blinds, a flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, a safe, a minibar, a hairdryer and toiletries.
Fari Studio
A studio with a king-size bed and sitting area, a bathroom with tub and rain shower, and a terrace overlooking the garden or Fari Marina Village. Sleeps two adults.
One Bedroom Water Pool Villa
An overwater villa with a king-size bedroom, sitting area and a terrace with a 6.2-metre pool, outdoor bathtub and steps into the ocean. Sleeps two adults and a child.
One Bedroom Sunset Water Pool Villa
