About this hotel
General information
One&Only Reethi Rah occupies a 44-hectare island in North Malé Atoll, its shoreline scalloped into twelve sandy beaches that together run for 6 km, with lagoons and coral reefs all around. Thatched villas sit among dense tropical planting along the shore, while others stand on stilts out in the lagoon.
Interiors are warm-toned and crafted from teak and mahogany, pairing clean contemporary lines with Maldivian motifs and one-off decorative pieces. The island is large enough that guests get about by bicycle or electric buggy. Facilities include a library, business services, and laundry and dry cleaning, and the resort arranges weddings and dedicated honeymoon programmes.
Location
The resort lies on Reethi Rah island in North Malé Atoll, 35 km from Malé International Airport — roughly 55 minutes by speedboat.
Spa
One&Only Spa has ten treatment pavilions alongside saunas, steam rooms, hydrotherapy pools and showers, a jacuzzi, an ice fountain and a relaxation area. Treatments draw on ancient Eastern traditions and modern techniques, using natural products. There is also a hair salon, a men’s grooming room and a nail studio, and wellness programmes of 3–14 days combine tailored training, treatments and diet.
Sports & leisure
The 30-metre main pool, with its hydromassage zone, faces the lagoon; a second, free-form pool has small islands and a jacuzzi, and forty villas have pools of their own. On land there are two floodlit tennis courts, a fitness centre, yoga and meditation pavilions, jogging trails, table tennis and billiards. The water sports centre offers windsurfing, waterskiing, canoeing, sailing, snorkelling and deep-sea fishing, and there is a PADI dive centre. Boat excursions, parasailing, beach volleyball, football and cycling round out the programme; sports equipment can be hired and yachts chartered.
For children
The Kids Only club, for ages 4–11, has its own pool, playground and clubhouse pavilion. Teenagers aged 12–17 get a separate programme of sport, excursions and activities. Restaurants offer children’s menus, and babysitting can be arranged on request.
Restaurants & bars
Dining spans several cuisines, and the resort’s pride is a pair of wine cellars holding more than 9,000 bottles from over 450 labels worldwide.
- Reethi — Italian, Asian and French cooking, with a wine list of more than 850 references
- Tapasake — contemporary Japanese with Mediterranean touches, facing the ocean
- Fanditha — Middle Eastern dishes on the beach
- Rabarbaro — classic Italian by the pool, lunch only
