About this hotel
General information
W Kuala Lumpur, the W brand’s first hotel in Malaysia, occupies a tower in the heart of the city beside the Petronas Twin Towers, which fill the view from its rooms, pool and rooftop bar. The interiors play on the idea of a “jungle city”: a recurring pixel, or dot, motif stands for the country’s many cultures, the arrival area greets guests with oversized batik patterns, metal detailing and bamboo-like chandeliers, and LED lights mimic falling tropical rain. A grand staircase lined with mirrored steel panels leads up towards the spa.
There are 150 rooms and suites, five restaurants and bars, an AWAY Spa and the open-air WET pool with its bar on the 12th floor. The round-the-clock Whatever/Whenever service handles guests’ requests at any hour. Events have more than 1,400 m² of space, including the Great Room, a ballroom of roughly 1,020 m² with an LED wall and one of the largest in the city.
Location
The hotel stands in KLCC, within Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle: the Petronas Twin Towers are next door, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is a few minutes away and the Bukit Bintang shopping district is close by. KLCC LRT station and Bukit Nanas monorail station are nearby. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) lies about 68 km away; there is no shuttle, but the hotel arranges a private car on request.
Spa
AWAY Spa has five treatment rooms and six massage beds under soft lighting, a steam room and separate lounges for men and women. The menu covers massages, including couples’ treatments, body scrubs, facials, scalp and hair treatments, manicures and pedicures, and massages can also be taken in the room. Treatments are by appointment.
Sports & leisure
The 24-hour FIT gym has cardio machines, ellipticals, exercise bikes, treadmills, weight machines and free weights, plus locker rooms. The open-air WET pool on the roof looks out to the Petronas Twin Towers, and private cabanas with sharing plates can be booked beside it. WET Deck hosts monthly WET Sessions with guest DJs, and the W Insider points guests towards pop-up restaurants, live shows and what is happening in the city.
Restaurants & bars
Five restaurants and bars, plus 24-hour in-room dining:
- FLOCK — all-day restaurant on the 8th floor with an open kitchen, cooking Pan-Asian grill dishes from organic and sustainably sourced produce
- YEN — contemporary Cantonese cooking on the 11th floor, reworking the classics
- HOJA — the cooking of Latin America’s Pacific coast, bringing together Colombia, Peru and Chile, with private dining for celebrations
- LIVING ROOM — a speakeasy-style bar serving desserts and afternoon tea by day and signature cocktails in the evening
- WET Deck — rooftop pool bar on the 12th floor with cocktails, Petronas Twin Towers views and DJs after dark
Swimming
The open-air WET pool sits on the roof, on the 12th floor, facing the Petronas Twin Towers and the city skyline. Towels are provided, WET Deck serves drinks alongside, and private cabanas are available for groups.

Rooms
The 150 rooms and suites, 18 of them suites, follow the “jungle city” theme, blending traditional Malaysian touches with contemporary design behind floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Kuala Lumpur skyline. The largest suites, Penthouse I and the two Penthouse II suites, take up the 23rd floor and can double as settings for private celebrations.

Suite with a king bed, a separate living room with sofa, a walk-in wardrobe and two phone lines. Sleeps up to three.
Supreme Suite, 1 King
Suite with a clear divide between the king bedroom and a generous living room, plus a walk-in wardrobe; it can be connected to an adjoining room. Sleeps up to three.
Supreme Suite, 1 King, Twin Towers View
The same suite layout, with separate bedroom and living room and a walk-in wardrobe, looking out to the Petronas Twin Towers; it can be connected to an adjoining room. Sleeps up to three.
Penthouse II
One of two 23rd-floor suites with a king bed, separate living room and balcony; one faces the Kuala Lumpur Tower, the other takes in both it and the Petronas Twin Towers. The bathroom has a large rain shower, a bathtub and a built-in TV. Sleeps up to three.
Penthouse I
The hotel’s largest suite, on the 23rd floor, with a head-on view of the Petronas Twin Towers and expansive living spaces that can be turned into a venue for a private party.
