The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur

About this hotel

General information

The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur stands in KL Sentral, the city’s main transport hub, looking out over the greenery of the Perdana Botanical Garden and the skyline beyond. Its interiors pair modern glamour with old-world poise, and the public spaces double as a gallery: a monumental horse sculpture beneath a five-tier crystal chandelier in The Drawing Room, leather murals of a charging polo team and a birds-and-butterflies installation inspired by the Perdana gardens. A butler leads guests through the collection.

The 208 rooms and suites rank among the largest in the city, each with a sitting area and a walk-in wardrobe, and every guest is looked after by St. Regis butlers. The brand’s rituals are kept: afternoon tea in The Drawing Room and an evening ceremony in which champagne is opened with a sabre. Seven restaurants and bars range from modern European cooking with Malaysian flavours to Japanese counters and a wine cellar, and close to 10,000 m² of space is set aside for events.

Location

The hotel stands in KL Sentral, beside KL Sentral station, its bus terminal and Muzium Negara MRT station, and faces the Perdana Botanical Garden, one of Kuala Lumpur’s largest parks. The National Museum of Malaysia, Chinatown with Petaling Street and Central Market, the Little India of Brickfields and the Petronas Twin Towers are a short walk or a few minutes’ drive away. Kuala Lumpur International Airport is about 58 km away; there is no hotel shuttle, but a hotel limousine and private car service are available around the clock.

Spa

Iridium Spa is set among greenery with views over the Perdana Botanical Garden. Its focus is advanced skincare and body contouring, including non-invasive LPG Endermologie treatments, alongside massages, facials and eye treatments, scrubs, wraps and a foot-bath ritual. Massages can also be taken in-suite, and all treatments are by appointment.

Sports & leisure

The outdoor rooftop pool looks across the city’s towers, and the 24-hour Athletic Club, with city views, has cardio and strength equipment and free weights. A butler leads a bespoke art walk through the hotel’s collection and arranges picnics in the Perdana Botanical Garden with food prepared by the hotel’s chefs. The St. Regis rituals of afternoon tea and evening champagne sabering take place daily, and the butler team also plans birthdays, anniversaries and other celebrations.

For children

The St. Regis Kids Club runs a programme of play and activities for young guests, with longer opening hours at weekends than on weekdays. The Family Traditions programme adds experiences for the whole family and a menu suited to guests of every age.

Restaurants & bars

Seven restaurants and bars share the hotel, and in-room dining runs around the clock:

  • The Brasserie — Malaysian flavours given a modern European treatment; breakfast, a set lunch with a monthly-changing menu and Sunday brunch are served here
  • The Drawing Room — the St. Regis afternoon tea beneath a crystal chandelier, beside the horse sculpture
  • Astor Bar — a bar with Decanter, a wine cellar of some 650 labels under a gold-tiled dome
  • The Macallan M Room at Astor Bar — a whisky bar devoted to The Macallan, with rare and very old expressions including The Red Collection
  • Crystal — a relaxed rooftop restaurant and bar with Asian fusion cooking, cocktails and poolside service
  • Taka — a Japanese sushi counter carved from 300-year-old hinoki wood, cooking with seasonal produce from Japan
  • USHI — a Japanese restaurant devoted to Ozaki beef, prepared in several styles
  • Tenshin — Edomae-style tempura omakase with ingredients flown in from Japan three times a week
Swimming

The outdoor pool is on the rooftop, with views over the skyline; towels are provided, and Crystal serves drinks and light dishes at the loungers.
