Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

About this hotel

General information

Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur takes up the upper reaches of Merdeka 118, the tallest skyscraper in the Asia-Pacific region, rising over the historic Merdeka precinct in the old heart of the city. The hotel spans levels 75 to 114, and each of its 252 rooms and suites looks out over the capital through floor-to-ceiling glass.

The interiors take their cue from the traditional Malay kampung house: sculptural centrepieces, perforated brass screens etched with batik motifs, natural timber and woven textures drawn from basketry and Peranakan craft. A private collection of Malaysian craft and modern art runs through the public spaces. The hotel is known for its wellness floor high above the city with a 30-metre infinity pool, a grill restaurant where dishes are finished at the table, and a bar given over entirely to chocolate and cocktails.

Location

The hotel stands in the Merdeka 118 precinct in the historic centre of Kuala Lumpur, a short way from Chinatown and Petaling Street and from Stadium Merdeka; the lobby is on Level 75. Valet parking is available, and in-house guests park free of charge in dedicated spaces within the building.

Spa

The Spa on Level 99 has six treatment rooms with their own bathrooms, for one guest or for couples, plus two rooms for aesthetic treatments. The menu runs from massages, facials and body treatments to circadian therapies, and guests can blend their own bath salts from calming local ingredients. Separate men’s and women’s thermal areas each have a Himalayan salt chamber, an aromatherapy steam room, experience showers and a vitality pool.

Sports & leisure

The wellness floor on Level 99 pairs the 30-metre infinity pool with a 24-hour fitness centre equipped with Technogym cardio and strength machines. A separate movement studio hosts yoga and group classes, and personal training is offered.

Restaurants & bars

All of the hotel’s restaurants and bars are gathered on Level 75, high above the city.

  • Merdeka Grill — modern grill: premium cuts, sustainably sourced seafood and local produce; a three-course set lunch, and dinners served course by course with dishes carved or finished at the table; two private dining rooms
  • Park Lounge — all-day dining built around forgotten Malaysian heritage recipes alongside Asian and Western comfort food, live local fish cooked to order, and afternoon tea with a dessert trolley
  • Bakery Bar — patisserie counter within Park Lounge: cakes, pastries and signature chocolates to enjoy in the lounge or take away
  • Cacao Mixology & Chocolate — cocktail bar devoted to chocolate, with chocolate-based cocktails, aged regional spirits, chocolate pairings, bossa nova and skyline views
Swimming

The 30-metre infinity pool on Level 99 is filled with daylight through floor-to-ceiling windows; loungers line the deck, drinks are served poolside, and the city spreads out below.

Pets

Pets are not accepted; service animals are welcome.
