About this hotel
General information
Stikliai Hotel is an intimate five-star Relais & Châteaux address at the very heart of Vilnius Old Town. Several restored historic buildings form a complex of about 7,000 m², gathered around green inner courtyards, a terrace and a winter garden beneath a glass dome. The interiors are French in spirit, with period-style furniture and fine fabrics, and no two rooms share the same layout or character.
There are 41 rooms and suites, a gastronomic restaurant, a tavern devoted to Lithuanian cooking, a cocktail and cigar bar, a small spa with a pool and sauna, a gym, a billiards room and a library on the second floor. Much of the kitchen’s produce — vegetables, berries and herbs — comes from the hotel’s own 2.5-hectare organic farm in the forests near Dubingiai, some 50 km from Vilnius, which also supplies honey from its hives and the berries for the breakfast jams.
Location
The hotel stands at Gaono Street 7, in the historic and cultural heart of Vilnius Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Town Hall Square, Cathedral Square, the Gate of Dawn, St Anne’s Church and Užupis are all within walking distance. Vilnius Airport is about 7 km away, and guests arriving by car can use secure paid parking.
Spa
The hotel’s cosy spa brings together a small pool, a sauna and a relaxation area. Massages, facials and body treatments are offered by appointment, along with manicures, pedicures and a hairdresser. Private spa visits and treatments can be arranged through reception.
Sports & leisure
The gym is equipped by Cybex, with a treadmill, an exercise bike and an elliptical trainer. Beside the winter garden, a billiards room has a professional table for up to ten players, with drinks and food brought from the bar next door. For exploring, the hotel offers bicycle rental, guided walks and tours of historic sights in and around Vilnius, and a library on the second floor holds a collection of classics.
Restaurants & bars
Food is one of the main reasons to stay at Stikliai, with four venues in and around the hotel.
- Stikliai Restaurant — the gastronomic restaurant, set in an enclosed garden under a glass dome among greenery and candlelight; European and French cooking built on produce from the hotel’s own farm, with a smart-casual dress code
- Stikliai Tavern — a two-storey tavern in a restored 17th-century building, serving Lithuanian dishes drawn from the national heritage and interwar recipes, in a room dressed with hanging straw ornaments, clay sculpture and linen tablecloths; a folk ensemble performs in the cellar
- Stikliai Bar — a cocktail and cigar bar next to the hotel, with a separate cigar room, a broad list of cocktails and wines, bartender shows, snacks and hot dishes
- Ponių Laimė — a bakery and café a few steps from the hotel, well known in Vilnius for its pastries
Breakfast is served in a room overlooking the inner courtyard, and on the terrace in season: a buffet complemented by hot dishes from the à la carte menu, morning pastries from the hotel’s own confectionery, homemade jams from the farm’s berries, freshly squeezed juices and Prosecco. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can also be served in the room.
Swimming
The spa has an indoor pool measuring 6 × 3 m and 1.5 m deep, with a sauna and a relaxation area alongside.
Pets
Pets are welcome for an extra charge: they can stay in at least one of the rooms and accompany guests in the restaurant and common areas.
