General information
Palanga Life Balance SPA Hotel is a seaside spa hotel set among century-old pines in Palanga, a few minutes' walk from the Baltic beach and right beside the Botanical Park. A deep mineral-water source lies beneath the hotel, and its water fills the pools and saunas of a large thermal complex that sits at the heart of every stay. The mood is quiet and unhurried, and many guests return season after season.
Its 84 rooms and suites are spread across several buildings, each with a character of its own. Luxury is classic and cosy, with panoramic windows onto the pine forest and interiors in Brazilian walnut and teak. Design is known for floors tilted at five degrees, which lend the space an unusual sense of perspective, and for its marble, Norwegian quartzite, olive and cedar wood and Persian rugs; it also houses the spa complex. Vandenis Suites is the most private building, in pastel tones and natural oak, while families have three-room suites in a separate cottage. The Luxury building also holds meeting and conference rooms for 60–70 guests.
Location
The hotel stands at Birutės alėja 60 in Palanga, about 100 m from the Baltic Sea's sandy beach and from Palanga Botanical Park, with the 14 km cycle path to Šventoji starting close by. Basanavičiaus Street is 600 m away and the Palanga Amber Museum 900 m. Palanga Airport is 3 km away (around 15 minutes by car), Klaipėda port 25 km and Vilnius Airport 330 km; the hotel arranges transfers on request.
Spa
Life Balance SPA brings together a spa centre and a mineral-water pool and sauna complex in the Design building. The complex has three pools, two hot tubs, four saunas (a classic sauna, an eco sauna, a steam sauna and a kelo-log sauna) and a relaxation room in cedar wood with water beds; warm herbal tea and honey are always on hand. A sauna master can lead a private sauna ritual by arrangement. The spa menu covers facials and body treatments with Biologique Recherche, Menard, Anne Semonin and Ligne St. Barth, Japanese Kobido facial massage, hammam rituals including a Lithuanian one, couples' rituals, mineral baths, sapropel mud applications and underwater massage, as well as one-day and multi-day spa programmes; there are also massages for children aged 4–13.
Sports & leisure
The gym on the second floor of the Design building is open around the clock and has two spaces: a fitness room with cardio and strength equipment, and a studio with a mirrored wall, yoga and Pilates mats. Guests can train alone, with a personal trainer or in groups of up to six. Walks lead through the pine park and along the beach, and the Palanga–Šventoji cycle path begins a few steps from the hotel.
Restaurants & bars
Restaurant Palanga, on the ground floor of the Luxury building, serves a generous breakfast with gluten-, lactose-, egg- and sugar-free options and a separate children's menu. At lunch and dinner the kitchen turns to contemporary Italian cooking with Lithuanian touches: a seasonal menu built on produce from local farms, grilled dishes, desserts and a carefully chosen wine list, and the restaurant also hosts private celebrations and business lunches. In the Design building, the lobby bar pours cocktails, freshly brewed coffee and herbal teas, served at the counter or on deep lounge sofas.
Swimming
The Baltic Sea's sandy beach is around 100 m away, roughly a two-minute walk. The hotel's mineral-water complex has a 20 m indoor pool, a shallow Roman pool and a heated outdoor pool open in season, all filled from the hotel's own mineral-water well. Children under 14 may use the complex from 10:00 to 18:00 with an adult.
Rooms
There are 84 rooms and suites across the Luxury, Design and Vandenis Suites buildings and a separate family cottage, styled in classic teak and Brazilian walnut, Italian design with olive wood, or pastel tones with natural oak and works by Lithuanian artists.
Rooms come with bathrobes and slippers and a bath or shower, and every stay includes unlimited use of the gym and the mineral-water pool and sauna complex.
Standard Double Room Vandenis Suites
A cosy room in the Vandenis Suites building in pastel tones and natural oak, with soft furnishings, carpeting, original paintings by Lithuanian artists and a king-size bed. Sleeps two adults and an infant.
Standard Room Luxury Building
A room on the second floor of the Luxury building in oak, Brazilian walnut and warm-toned textiles, with a separate couch and a balcony overlooking the pines. The bathroom has a shower or a bath.
Superior Room Luxury Building
A room on the third or fourth floor of the Luxury building with 1960s-style teak furniture, a couch and a Brazilian walnut bathroom with a bath. The balcony, decked with flowers in season, looks out over the pine forest.
Superior Room Design Building
A room in the Design building with rich textiles and olive-wood details, a king-size bed and a comfortable sofa bed, a work area and tea facilities. The bathroom has both a shower and a bath.
Superior Room Vandenis Suites
A spacious, light room in pastel tones and natural oak, with carpeting, paintings by Lithuanian artists, a king-size bed and a quality sound system. Sleeps two adults, a child and an infant.
Deluxe Room Design Building
A bright room with large windows, textiles and olive wood, Italian furniture with built-in lighting, a king-size bed and a sofa bed. There is a flower-decked balcony, and the bathroom has a shower and a bath.
Deluxe Room Vandenis Suites
A spacious room in pastel tones and natural oak with a king-size bed, a quality sound system, paintings by Lithuanian artists and a balcony. Sleeps two adults and two children.
Deluxe Room Luxury Building

A two-room suite in bold Italian style with a dining area, two balconies and two bathrooms; in the main one, lined with green-toned quartzite, the bath sits by huge windows looking out to the pines.
Deluxe Suite Luxury Building
A two-room suite on the top, fifth floor of the Luxury building with panoramic windows and a balcony off each room: a bedroom with a canopied king-size bed, a living room with a dining table and work area, a shower, a bath and a steam bath.
Three-Room Family Suite
A family apartment in a separate cottage: a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table and a washing machine, one bedroom with a double bed and another with two single beds. A terrace or balcony among the pines, with windows facing the outdoor pool.
Three-Room Family Suite Vandenis Suites
The largest apartment in the Vandenis Suites building, with high ceilings, oak parquet, a mini kitchen, a king-size bed, an extra sofa and a sound system, well suited to longer stays. Sleeps two adults and two children.
