General information
Mövenpick Hotel & Resort Al Bida'a is a city resort on the Gulf shore in Al Bida'a, part of Salmiya. Its low-rise wings, designed in a contemporary Mediterranean style, spread across some 40,000 m² of gardens, three outdoor pools and a 200-metre private beach of white sand.
The resort sits between seaside and city, suited to a weekend as much as a longer stay, and its accommodation runs from pool-access rooms to multi-bedroom suites and residences with kitchens, and a four-bedroom villa. The brand's Swiss roots show in its signature dishes and the daily Chocolate Hour in the lobby. For meetings and celebrations there are eight function rooms and a divisible ballroom for up to 200 guests.
Location
The resort stands on the Al Bida'a seafront in Salmiya, 5–7 km (10–15 minutes by car) from central Kuwait City, about 10 minutes from Salmiya's shopping streets and 15–20 minutes from Kuwait International Airport. Airport transfers are arranged on request; parking is free for guests and there is a car rental desk on site.
Spa
Ten Spa offers Swedish, deep-tissue, Balinese and Thai massages, aromatherapy, body scrubs and hydrating wraps, deep-cleansing and hydrating facials, and manicures and pedicures. Treatments are by appointment.
Sports & leisure
Leisure centres on the beach, where beach sports are on offer, and on three outdoor pools set in the gardens. Shapes Health Club has cardio equipment, strength machines and free weights, open daily from 6am to 10pm.
For children
A kids' club runs supervised activities, and there is a children's playground in the grounds.
Restaurants & bars
Dining keeps close to the sea, with in-room dining around the clock.
- Breeze — international cuisine with sea views: buffets at breakfast, lunch and dinner, an à la carte menu, live cooking stations, themed dinners several nights a week and a terrace over the garden and the Gulf
- Veranda Cafe — a European-style coffee shop on the ground floor, with pastries from the counter, coffee, tea, juices and light bites, deep sofas and a sea-view terrace
- Pool Bar — a casual spot by the main pool and the beach for salads, sandwiches, burgers, desserts, fresh juices and smoothies
Swimming
The 200-metre white-sand beach is private to resort guests, with Wi-Fi reaching all the way to the shore. Three outdoor pools lie alongside, the main one by the beach, and a number of rooms and suites open straight onto the pool.

Pets are not accepted.
Rooms
Rooms, suites, residences and a villa look over the gardens, the pools or the Gulf, and the Pool Access categories have terraces opening onto the pool. The two- and three-bedroom residences and the villa have their own kitchens, while the largest suites add separate living and dining rooms.
Every room has free high-speed Wi-Fi, an LCD TV with satellite channels, individually controlled air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, a large safe, an iron and board, a pillow menu, bathrobes and slippers.
