About this hotel
General information
Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya occupies one of the two towers of the Burj Alshaya development in central Kuwait City, rising 21 storeys above the new downtown with a large city park next door. Its 284 rooms and suites include 67 suites, and even the entry rooms measure from 46 m². The hotel pairs business-district convenience with the mood of an urban resort: two pools, a spa built around a lantern-lit indoor pool and a fourth-floor terrace planted with greenery.
The interiors give traditional Arabian architecture a contemporary reading — soaring ceilings, arches, geometric panelled ceilings and clouds of suspended lights — warmed throughout by burnt-orange tones that recall a Gulf sunset. In the lobby a 13-metre illuminated spiral staircase rises beneath a hand-cut crystal chandelier installation, and some two dozen contemporary works from around the world, from sculpture to wall pieces and installations, are shown across the hotel, with art tours led by the concierge. The hotel is also known for Al Soor, its lounge for house-made chocolates and pastries.
Location
The hotel stands on Al Soor Street in Al Mirqab, on the city's first ring road at the heart of Kuwait City's new downtown. A large urban park with gardens and running trails is a short walk away, and The Avenues shopping centre is about 15 minutes by car. Kuwait International Airport lies 17.6 km away, around 20 minutes by car; the concierge arranges car or limousine transfers as well as meet-and-assist service at the airport.
Spa
The spa has ten treatment rooms, among them two suites with bathtubs, a Maroc Maroc hammam suite and a psammotherapy suite with heated sand, plus a bridal suite, a women's salon and a men's barbershop by Aveda. The 90-minute signature Moroccan hammam moves from black-soap cleansing and kessa-glove exfoliation to a body mask, scalp massage and hair ritual; there are also Turkish hammam treatments by AMRA, quartz sand bathing with singing bowls, massages and facials using Biologique Recherche, MCCM and Sodashi. Saunas, steam rooms and whirlpools are set within the changing areas, and parents can book shared treatments with children aged 12 to 16.
Sports & leisure
The 24-hour fitness centre has a cardio area, strength machines and free weights, a yoga studio and a spinning room with ten bikes. Daily classes run from antigravity and yin yoga to circuit, core and spinning sessions and singing-bowl meditation; Pilates and certified personal trainers are available on request. Swimming is in the outdoor infinity pool or the indoor spa pool. The concierge arranges city tours, cultural workshops, sunset cruises, shopping with a personal shopper and guided tours of the hotel's art collection.
For children
Kids For All Seasons runs at the Fereej Kids Club on the fourth floor for children aged 4 to 12, daily from 10:00 to 20:30, free for hotel guests. The desert-safari-themed space has dune-inspired floors, a desert castle and a built-in jeep fitted with games consoles and VR. The club team leads arts and crafts, face painting, mask-making and henna designs, junior Zumba and dance contests, with film screenings in a cinema lounge designed for children and a dancing-fountain show twice a day. Babysitting and nanny services are available at a charge.
