About this hotel
General information
The Capitol Hotel Tokyu occupies a tower set among the greenery of Akasaka, alongside Hie Shrine and the trees of the Sanno woods. Its interiors pair Japanese aesthetics with modern practicality: a shallow pond wraps around the entrance, an ikebana arrangement in the lobby changes every month, ink paintings hang by the reception, and artworks appear throughout the building. In the rooms, sliding shoji screens let the daylight in.
There are 251 rooms, 14 of them suites, and even the smallest measures 44.8 m². Most occupy the 18th to 29th floors with views over the city, while two suites on the 5th floor face the garden and the Sanno trees. Guests have Japanese and Chinese restaurants, an all-day restaurant, a lounge for tea, a bar and a pastry boutique, along with a fitness club with a pool and a spa. Banquet halls serve receptions and business meetings.
Location
The hotel is in Chiyoda, at the very centre of Tokyo, in the Akasaka district. Exit 6 of Tameike-Sanno metro station (Ginza and Namboku lines) leads underground straight into the building, which is linked in the same way to the neighbouring station on the Chiyoda and Marunouchi lines. Tokyo Station is about 10 minutes away by car, and the limousine bus from Narita Airport takes 80–120 minutes.
Spa
Carju Rajah TIADO occupies the 14th floor. Treatments take place in private rooms and combine a holistic approach with targeted care; the spa also has an area with a salt bath and a gentle low-temperature mist sauna, a make-up room and a fully private treatment room for men. Next door, a men's barber offers its own grooming menu.
Sports & leisure
The fitness club on the 14th and 15th floors is open only to members and hotel guests, with a gym of treadmills, exercise bikes and weight machines, a pool, an open-air jacuzzi, a men's dry sauna and a women's mist sauna. Personal sessions – stretching, strength training and yoga – can be booked in advance. The concierge suggests walks around the neighbourhood and arranges experiences in the city for staying guests, and the hotel's own art collection rewards a slow look.
Restaurants & bars
The restaurants and bar are spread over the 2nd to 4th floors:
- Suiren — Japanese cuisine with kaiseki, sushi, tempura and teppanyaki, reached by a corridor from the lobby and surrounded by garden greenery; private rooms
- Star Hill — Chinese cuisine, with private rooms
- ORIGAMI — all-day dining from breakfast to dinner in a bright room overlooking a water garden
- Lounge ORIGAMI — a spacious atrium lounge off the lobby, looking onto trees and water; tea and afternoon tea
- The Capitol Bar — reached by its own staircase from the lobby, with a high counter above the atrium and a lounge facing the greenery and Akasaka
- Pastry Boutique ORIGAMI — cakes, pastries and house-made bread to take away
Club-floor and suite guests have the SaRyoh club lounge on the 27th floor, serving breakfast, daytime treats, tea and evening appetisers with drinks; in-room dining is available.

A 20-metre heated indoor pool on the 14th floor has three lanes, one set aside for water walking. Beside it, an open-air jacuzzi sits in a two-storey atrium left open to the sky.
