Palace Hotel Tokyo

About this hotel

General information

Palace Hotel Tokyo rises beside the Imperial Palace gardens in the very centre of the city. The 23-storey building replaced two mid-20th-century predecessors, the Teito and the Palace hotels, and carries on their quiet elegance with fully modern comforts. Rooms and suites look out over the palace grounds and the city.

Tokyo’s skyline follows guests into the pool and the gym, and evian SPA TOKYO offers time to unwind. Seven restaurants cover Asian and Western cooking, and three bars range from the Royal Bar to Lounge Bar Privé, with a terrace facing the palace gardens. For business there are eight function rooms, three meeting rooms and a boardroom, and the hotel hosts weddings.

Location

The hotel is in the Marunouchi business district next to Otemachi metro station, an 8-minute walk from Tokyo Station. Haneda International Airport is 15 km away and Narita 60 km.

Spa

evian SPA TOKYO spans 1,200 m² on the fifth floor, with saunas, hot baths, steam rooms, a cold plunge pool, separate relaxation lounges for men and women and five treatment rooms named after Alpine peaks. Treatments use products by the Parisian houses Anne Semonin and Omnisens and the Japanese brand Warew.

Sports & leisure

The fitness centre on the fifth floor has a 20-metre indoor pool, a Jacuzzi, a Technogym-equipped gym with windows onto the Imperial Palace gardens and an open-air terrace with city views; the 5-km running route around the palace begins right outside.

Restaurants & bars

Dining spans France, Japan and China:

  • Esterre – contemporary French haute cuisine created in partnership with DUCASSE Paris
  • Grand Kitchen – all-day dining with American, French, Italian and Spanish dishes and Japanese touches
  • Wadakura – kaiseki with views of the palace moat that gave the restaurant its name
  • Tatsumi – a six-seat tempura counter
  • GO – teppanyaki-grilled meat and seafood
  • Sushi Kanesaka – sushi by chef Shinji Kanesaka
  • Amber Palace – Shanghainese and Cantonese cuisine, from Peking duck to dim sum
  • Royal Bar – a classic cocktail bar in the spirit of the original Royal Bar
  • The Palace Lounge – afternoon tea by day, cocktails and live jazz every evening
  • Lounge Bar Privé – a sixth-floor lounge bar with an outdoor terrace overlooking the palace gardens and the skyline
  • Sweets & Deli – pastries, handmade chocolate and fresh bread

In-room dining is available.
