Grand Hyatt Tokyo

About this hotel

General information

Grand Hyatt Tokyo sits at the heart of Roppongi with a direct link to Roppongi Hills, a city quarter of some 250 shops and restaurants, a cinema, an art museum and an observation deck. It works as well for business as for leisure: Ginza and Shibuya are within easy reach, and Roppongi subway station is a three-minute walk away.

The hotel has 387 rooms, 28 of them suites. Interiors pair a quiet Japanese sensibility with mahogany furniture, natural fabrics and warm earth tones, under high ceilings and with generous bathrooms. On the 10th floor the 500 m² Grand Club lounge opens onto a 180 m² terrace laid out as a Japanese garden above the city. For events there are 16 venues, among them a grand ballroom.

Location

The address is 6-10-3 Roppongi in Minato ward. Roppongi station is a 3-minute walk on the Hibiya Line (exit 1C) and 6 minutes on the Oedo Line (exit 3). Tokyo Tower is 2.4 km away and Ginza 7.4 km. By car, Haneda Airport is about 40 minutes and Narita Airport about 90 minutes.

Spa

Nagomi Spa and Fitness fills the 5th floor, with treatments built around aromatherapy oils and Japanese ingredients. The signature nagomi facial and nagomi massage, the latter using the spa's own yuzu and ginger oil, sit alongside the bespoke nagomi pathways, which combine body and facial work after a consultation with a therapist. A bath ritual with essential oils in a private jet bath and treatments for two in a shared suite are also offered. The changing areas hold relaxation lounges, hot and cold plunge pools and saunas. Treatments are for guests aged 16 and over.

Sports & leisure

The Nagomi Spa and Fitness gym, equipped by Technogym for cardio and strength training, is open around the clock to hotel guests. Trainers offer one-to-one sessions, a hot stretch with yoga poses on the poolside deck and aqua fit, a private water-walking class; jogging maps of the city are available on request.

For children

Children aged 2–12 find an amenity bag in the room with an activity sheet, and the concierge helps arrange the activities; in season the hotel also runs events for young guests. The in-room dining menu has a children's section.

Restaurants & bars

Nine restaurants, bars and a pastry shop:

  • The Oak Door — steakhouse with an open kitchen and charcoal grill, intimate booths, a terrace, a bar and a private dining room
  • The French Kitchen — all-day restaurant serving classic French bistro dishes from an open kitchen, with a large terrace; the breakfast buffet is served here
  • Roku Roku — Edo-mae sushi and sashimi at a counter cut from a single Yoshino cypress, with floor-to-ceiling windows onto greenery
  • Shunbou — seasonal Japanese cuisine at a granite counter or at tables in the dining room
  • Keyakizaka — teppanyaki of Japanese beef, seafood, poultry and vegetables cooked in front of guests
  • Chinaroom — regional Chinese cooking from Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan and Guangdong, including Peking duck and dim sum, under red lanterns
  • Fiorentina — Italian café on the lobby level with a terrace: antipasti, pizza, risotto, pasta, fluffy pancakes and desserts
  • Fiorentina Pastry Boutique — seasonal cakes, pastries, chocolates and fresh bread from the hotel's pastry team
  • Maduro — bar and jazz lounge with live music in the evenings and a collection of whisky and cigars

In-room dining runs 24 hours, and guests in club rooms and suites have breakfast, evening cocktails with canapés and all-day refreshments in the Grand Club lounge.
