General information
Villa & Palazzo Aminta stands in Stresa, a Piedmontese town on the shore of Lake Maggiore, among azaleas, camellias, rhododendrons and century-old trees, looking out over the Borromean Gulf and its islands. A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, it feels more like a private villa than a conventional hotel.
Its salons blend styles and traditions from across Italian decorative art, and direct access from the street makes them well suited to important events and even car launches. Several elegant rooms host meetings, seminars and conferences, and the hotel arranges weddings and other celebrations. Guests also have a spa, an outdoor pool, a private beach and the hotel’s own jetties.

The hotel is on the shore of Lake Maggiore in Stresa, Piedmont, 45 km from Milan Malpensa airport.
Spa
The spa uses products by the Swiss laboratory Transvital for face and body treatments, with dedicated programmes for men, couples, honeymooners and mothers-to-be.
Sports & leisure
There is a well-equipped gym, and bicycles can be hired to explore Stresa and the surrounding area. Excursion boats leave from the hotel’s two private jetties; summer brings waterskiing, jet skiing and parachute jumps, while in winter the ski resorts of Italy and Switzerland are within easy reach. A nature park with flower-filled villas lies around the hotel, a riding school is a few minutes away, and an excursion programme covers the region’s history and culture.

Restaurants & bars
There are two restaurants. Calamondino is a relaxed, health-focused restaurant open from lunch through dinner, where guests come in their bathrobes and the chef cooks dishes to order in front of them. Le Isole, with stucco ceilings and fine furniture, serves international and Mediterranean cuisine with a selection of Italy’s best wines, plus a separate menu of traditional dishes from Italy’s regions.
Swimming
Guests can swim in the outdoor pool with its sun deck or from the private beach facing the Borromean Islands.

Deluxe Villa Amintina Lake View Room

Flower Suite

Junior Suite

Liz Taylor Suite
Dressed in rich fabrics, porcelain and elegant furniture, with a romantic bedroom, living room, marble and mosaic bathroom with jacuzzi and a wraparound terrace with panoramic lake views.
La Borromea Suite
On the top floor of the Palazzo with its own entrance: a bedroom, living room, marble and mosaic bathroom with hydromassage bath and separate shower, and a large terrace with jacuzzi overlooking the lake and islands.
