General information
The brilliant white building of Punta Molino Beach Resort & Spa rises from a pine park at the water’s edge, a short way from Ischia’s port. Sailing boats and small craft come and go from the hotel jetty, and across the water stands the islet crowned by the old Aragonese Castle. Inside, lobbies and rooms carry the view indoors — bright and original in concept yet classical in execution, with flowerbeds and lawns just beyond the windows.
The architect gave the building rounded walls that change the sense of space, set off by ceramics, glass, fine fabrics and floors of multicoloured tiles, while the lobby and some suites hold antique furniture and 17th–18th-century tapestries. The hotel has a thermal spa, its own beach, three pools, a restaurant, a bar and a conference room for meetings and group events.
Location
The hotel is on the island of Ischia, beside the port of Ischia town, 45 minutes from Naples International Airport.
Spa
The health and beauty centre is built around the hotel’s own thermal springs, which bring up warm salt water rich in bromine and iodine. Treatments use the Punta Mulino Thermal Baths line and include thermal baths, a solarium, inhalations, a range of massages including Ayurvedic, hydromassage and beauty treatments.
Sports & leisure
The three pools are kept at different temperatures: a large outdoor pool for swimming on its own terrace, and two thermal pools, one of them indoors, for relaxation and rehabilitation exercise. Water-skiing, windsurfing, diving, sailing and spearfishing are on offer, along with table tennis and bicycle and motorbike hire; tennis courts are close by, and a small pine park with benches invites a quiet hour.
Restaurants & bars
The panoramic restaurant serves Italian and local dishes with a fine selection of Italian wines, and in the warmer months an open terrace offers grilled dishes. On the beach, the Snack Bar serves drinks and light bites.
Swimming
The hotel has its own beach and jetty.
Rooms
Rooms and suites are spread across the main building and the tower. Rounded walls, ceramics, glass and colourful tiled floors give each its own character, and windows look out to the sea or the park.
Rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV, internet access, a minibar, a safe and a hairdryer.
Single Room
A compact single room with a bathroom with bathtub and a furnished balcony facing the park, with a side view of the sea.
Comfort Room
A bright room with a bath or shower and a balcony or French window facing the sea or the garden.
Superior Room
Each one different, with a characterful bathroom with bath or shower and a balcony facing the sea and the Aragonese Castle or the park.
Deluxe Indaco
On the top floor of the tower, with a bathroom with whirlpool bath and a sea-view window, and a private terrace with an outdoor shower overlooking the Gulf of Naples and the Aragonese Castle.
Deluxe Cobalto
A spacious Mediterranean-style room with hand-painted Vietri majolica, a bathroom with double basin, whirlpool bath and shower, and a furnished sea-view balcony.
Junior Suite
Each one different, with a bath or shower and a balcony or terrace facing the park.
Suite
Overlooking the whole Punta Molino bay, with a living room, a bedroom with wardrobe, a whirlpool bath and shower, and one or two sea-view balconies.
Suite Oltremare
A suite with hand-painted Vietri majolica, a living room and a bedroom with separate entrances, two bathrooms with whirlpool bath and shower, and a balcony and window facing the sea; sleeps up to three.
