General information
Portrait Firenze sits on the Arno embankment a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio, and feels closer to a private residence than a conventional hotel. It belongs to Lungarno Collection, the hotel group owned by the Ferragamo family, and is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
There are 37 rooms and suites. Michele Bönan’s interiors draw on mid-century design, vintage details, bespoke craftsmanship and a warm, understated palette, and many of the suites look out over the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio. Service is shaped around each guest, and the hotel’s restaurant, Caffè dell’Oro, is right alongside. Guests have complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and free entry to the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, and pets are welcome.
Location
At Lungarno degli Acciaiuoli 4, in central Florence beside the Ponte Vecchio. Santa Maria Novella station is 2 km away (about 10 minutes by car) and Florence’s Amerigo Vespucci Airport 10 km (about 25 minutes); the airports of Pisa and Bologna are both around 110 km.

Families can choose the Family Suite, the Portrait Penthouse Floor or one of the two-bedroom suites. Every room takes a child under three on top of the stated occupancy, and the two-bedroom suites take two.
Restaurants & bars
Caffè dell’Oro, the hotel’s restaurant beside the Ponte Vecchio, is an all-day address: contemporary Italian cooking from Executive Chef Luca Armellino built on local produce, 1950s-inspired interiors and a terrace over Lungarno degli Acciaiuoli, with brunch every Sunday. Bar corners in the suites allow for in-room dining.

The 37 rooms and suites are designed by Michele Bönan with a mid-century sensibility — vintage photographs, soft textures and artisan pieces. Some face the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio, others look onto quiet courtyards and side streets.

Ponte Vecchio Suite
A sixth-floor apartment-style suite with two bedrooms at opposite ends, a living and dining area, a separate lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and a full-length terrace facing the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio. Up to 4 guests.
Portrait Suite River View
The living and dining room overlooks the Arno while the bedroom faces the quiet inner courtyards, with floor-to-ceiling windows, two marble bathrooms, two closets and a concealed kitchenette-bar. Up to 4 guests.
Prestige Suite River View
A bedroom with a working area and a living room, both facing the Arno, plus a marble bathroom, walk-in closet and concealed kitchenette-bar; a sofa bed takes it to 4 guests.
Superior Suite River View
A bedroom with a reading and working corner and a living room, both with floor-to-ceiling windows onto the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio, a marble bathroom with twin vanities and a walk-in closet. Up to 3 guests.
Studio Deluxe River View
Separate bedroom and living area with floor-to-ceiling windows onto the Ponte Vecchio, a marble shower room with double vanities, a walk-in closet, kitchenette-bar and writing desk. Up to 2 guests.
Timeless Suite

A courtyard-view suite with a separate bedroom, a living room with kitchenette-bar that becomes a second sleeping area at night, one or two bathrooms and a private terrace. Up to 4 guests.

The entire sixth floor — the Ponte Vecchio, Timeless, Family and Superior River View suites combined — with five bedrooms, six bathrooms, separate lounge and dining areas and a private terrace over the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio. Up to 10 guests.
Two Bedroom Portrait Suite River View
Two bedrooms with their own walk-in closets, three bathrooms and a living room with dining table and bar corner facing the Ponte Vecchio and the Arno. Up to 6 guests plus two children under three.
