About this hotel
General information
Le Sirenuse occupies an 18th-century villa in the heart of Positano, set on a cliff 70 metres above the sea. Once the summer residence of the Marquises Sersale, it became a hotel in 1951 and remains in the family’s hands. Its beginnings are tied to a love story between an English traveller and a Sersale heir, and it has kept a reputation as a place for couples ever since.
The house is furnished with 18th-century pieces and antique works of art, and is regarded as part of the historic fabric of Positano and southern Italy. Its understated Mediterranean style, quiet and sweeping sea views have earned it recognition as both the best hotel in Europe and the best in Italy. It belongs to The Leading Hotels of the World and Leading Spas of the World.
