General information
L’Albereta is a late 19th-century estate on Bellavista hill near Lake Iseo, set among parkland and the vineyards of Franciacorta, one of Italy’s best-known wine regions. Once the home of Donna Anna, a devotee of the arts, it was bought by the Moretti family in 1993 and turned into a Relais & Châteaux hotel. Behind the ivy-covered facades of its old towers lie original artworks, frescoes, antique furniture and gilt-framed mirrors.
Every room is individually styled. The hotel’s pride is the Espace Vitalité spa, built around the Henri Chenot method, matched by serious dining that runs from tasting menus to pizza made to Franco Pepe’s recipes. Five rooms for meetings and celebrations seat 8 to 190 guests, and there is a business centre, library, billiards and Mariella’s boutique; honeymooners are offered special programmes.
Location
The hotel is in Erbusco, northern Italy, close to Lake Iseo: 34 km from Bergamo airport, 80 km from Verona and 125 km from Milan airport.
Spa
Espace Vitalité spreads over two levels and 1,400 m², with a large indoor pool featuring five hydromassage zones, a sauna, hammam, Kneipp bath, Jacuzzi, hydrotherapy room, a gym overlooking the park, a relaxation area, tea room, beauty salon and treatment rooms. Programmes of varying length follow the Henri Chenot method, which combines modern science with Chinese medicine, treating body, mind and spirit as a single energy system. Its stages include tailored fitness plans, diet and treatments with Henri Chenot natural cosmetics.
Sports & leisure
There are tennis courts on site, with equipment to hire. Guests can also go mountain biking, riding, hunting and fishing, try water sports on Lake Iseo or rafting, and join excursions, wine tastings and Italian cookery lessons. An 18-hole golf course is 6 km away.

Rooms
The 57 rooms — 38 guest rooms and 19 suites — are each decorated individually, with fine fabrics, antique furniture and period artworks.
Each room has air conditioning, satellite TV, a safe, minibar and hairdryer.
Superior Room
A spacious room with frescoes and fine fabrics, a king-size or twin beds, a bathroom with bath and a balcony over the park. Rooms can be connected.
Deluxe Room
A warm-toned, individually decorated room with a king-size bed; some have a hydromassage bath and a sofa bed.
Cabriolet Suite
A romantic room where, at the touch of a button, the ceiling above the bed opens to the night sky. Bathroom with hydromassage bath and multi-function shower; balcony facing the vineyards and lake.
Junior Suite
Set in the 19th-century villa, with a small sitting area, a king-size bedroom and a bathroom with hydromassage bath; some also have a multi-function shower.
Lake Tower Suite
A pastel suite, most with a canopy bed, a living room with sofa, a hydromassage bath and a shower with sauna and steam functions. The balcony overlooks the park, vineyards and, in some, the lake; up to three guests.
Contadi Tower Suite
A two-level family suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms with hydromassage bath and shower. Views of the park, vineyards or lake.
Bellavista Grand Suite
On the top floor of Torre Bellavista, where Sophia Loren once stayed: a living room, bedroom, bathroom with hydromassage bath and shower, and two balconies looking over the vineyards, Lake Iseo and the Alps.
Contadi Deluxe Suite
Two adjoining bedrooms on two floors linked by an internal staircase. Up to four guests.
