General information
Hotel Vilon is tucked into a quiet corner of central Rome, a few steps from the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. It occupies a mid-16th-century palazzo known as the “house annexed to Palazzo Borghese”. In 1841 Princess Adelaide Borghese handed the building to the French nuns of the Daughters of the Cross, who opened a school for girls here.
The boutique hotel opened in the palazzo in 2018 and is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The mood is intimate and refined, with rooms overlooking the “secret gardens” of the Borghese, the Adelaide restaurant and a leafy garden patio. Business services, free Wi-Fi, limousine service, concierge and laundry are available.
Location
The hotel is in the Campo Marzio district of Rome’s historic centre, a few minutes’ walk from the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona. Fiumicino international airport is 35 km away.
