About this hotel
General information
Hotel De La Ville occupies an 18th-century palazzo above the Spanish Steps, a few minutes’ walk from Rome’s great sights. The Rocco Forte hotel keeps the air of an old aristocratic residence, with interiors that interpret it in a contemporary way.
Dining is overseen by the Michelin-starred chef Fulvio Pierangelini; the rooftop Cielo restaurant and bar looks out across the city, and the Irene Forte Spa has its own hydrothermal area. For meetings and celebrations there are three rooms for 10–70 guests and outdoor spaces for up to 100, and the hotel arranges weddings and honeymoon programmes. Business services, free Wi-Fi, parking, concierge and laundry are also available.
Location
The hotel is in Rome’s historic centre, above the Spanish Steps and near the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, Villa Borghese, Piazza di Spagna and the boutiques of Via Condotti. Termini station is about 15 minutes by car, Ciampino airport half an hour and Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino international airport 45 minutes.
Spa
Irene Forte Spa has an indoor hydromassage pool, a sauna, a steam room, a salt room, a cold plunge, Kneipp foot baths, an ice fountain, heated infrared loungers, a relaxation area and five treatment rooms. Treatments use Irene Forte products made with botanicals from the organic farm at Verdura Resort in Sicily.
Sports & leisure
An indoor hydromassage pool, a 24-hour Technogym gym, a yoga and Pilates studio and an outdoor yoga terrace. The hotel also runs entertainment and a choice of excursions, some of them themed.
For children
Families have dedicated programmes and everything needed for a stay with children; babysitting is available on request.
