About this hotel
General information
Grand Hotel Tremezzo Palace opened in 1910 on the shore of Lake Como, ringed by the Grigne mountains, and has hosted Europe’s elite, grand balls and a lingering dolce vita ever since. The neoclassical palace keeps its antique furniture and art, set within a 20,000 m² landscaped park of shaded avenues and flower beds.
Rooms open onto balconies and terraces over the lake and gardens. Guests have a private beach, three pools – one built out into the lake itself – the T Spa, five restaurants and bars, a tennis court, water sports and boat trips on the lake. Next door, the historic Villa Sola Cabiati holds six suites and its own pool; the hotel also has a private jetty, its own boats, a limousine service and arranges weddings.
Location
On the western shore of Lake Como in the resort town of Tremezzo, 15 minutes by car from Como, half an hour from Como San Giovanni station and 80 km (about an hour) from Milan Malpensa Airport.
Spa
T Spa has an indoor infinity pool with hydromassage zones and lake views, a hammam, a Mediterranean steam bath, a sauna overlooking the lake, sensory showers, an ice fountain, the Mosaico Studio beauty salon, an onyx-clad relaxation area and treatment rooms, including a VIP suite with sauna, hot tub and steam room with cascade shower. Programmes combine innovative techniques with ancient holistic traditions.
Sports & leisure
Three pools: an outdoor pool in the garden, one built into the lake, and the indoor infinity pool in the spa. There is also a gym, a floodlit tennis court, running trails through the park, water sports, cycling, boat trips on the lake, painting classes and excursions, with bicycles and tennis equipment available to hire. Several 18-hole golf courses lie nearby.
Restaurants & bars
Five venues spread between the lakeside and the garden.
- La Terrazza — fine dining on a terrace facing the lake and the Grigne, carrying on the legacy of chef Gualtiero Marchesi

- L’Escale — trattoria and enoteca with a modern take on Italian classics and more than 1,300 Italian wines
