About this hotel
General information
The white Grand Hotel Miramare in Santa Margherita Ligure has more than a century of history. Guglielmo Marconi sent some of his first radio signals from its terrace, and in 1951 it hosted an international conference that became a step towards European integration. King Hussein of Jordan, Constantine of Greece and Sophia Loren have all stayed here, and Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh spent their honeymoon at the Miramare.
The hotel is wrapped in a large park of palms, pines, camellias, oleanders and century-old cedars of Lebanon. Its Miramare congress centre, with seven meeting rooms, hosts the annual gathering of Confindustria’s young entrepreneurs, and the hotel also arranges weddings.
Location
The hotel is in the centre of Santa Margherita Ligure, midway along the Italian Riviera, 42 km from Genoa’s Cristoforo Colombo international airport.
Spa
The e’SPAce spa is built around restoring all five senses, with massage, experience showers, chromotherapy and the scents and sounds of nature. Treatments can be taken alone or as a couple.
Sports & leisure
Sailing, yachting, diving, boating, golf, walking, running, riding and tennis can all be arranged. The hotel also organises excursions to Villa Durazzo and the abbeys of Cervara and San Fruttuoso, trips to Portofino, Camogli and Rapallo, and walks in the Portofino nature park.
