General information
Grand Hotel Fasano stands in Gardone Riviera on the shore of Lake Garda, at the heart of a park of more than 12,000 m² and a short walk from the town’s pedestrian quarter. It occupies two historic buildings: the neoclassical Villa Principe, with a façade designed by Palladio, and the five-storey main building, Fasano, crowned by a castle-style tower. In the late 19th century it served as a hunting lodge favoured by members of the Austrian imperial family — hence a name that recalls pheasant shooting.
Inside, the mood is that of an aristocratic country house: heavy timber beams, period-style wooden furniture, weighty drapes, old paintings and prints, and deep rugs. The valley’s mild microclimate lets palms and banana trees flourish. The hotel has a heated outdoor pool, a private beach, three restaurants and a bar, tennis courts, the Aqua Spa and five conference rooms.
Location
The hotel is in the centre of the resort town of Gardone Riviera on Lake Garda, 90 km from Verona and 176 km from Milan’s airport.
Spa
The 1,000 m² Aqua Spa brings together indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, a Turkish bath, a Jacuzzi, a solarium, relaxation rooms, aromatherapy and chromotherapy rooms and a gym. The Aveda Destination Spa beauty salon offers treatments using natural products only.
Sports & leisure
Guests have a heated outdoor pool, tennis courts and a water-sports centre offering sailing, water-skiing and surfing. Three golf courses are close by: Gardagolf Country Club (18 and 9 holes), Golf Bogliaco (9 holes) and Palazzo Arzaga Golf (18 and 9 holes).

Guests swim in the lake from the hotel’s small private beach.

Rooms are divided between the main Grand Hotel Fasano building and the historic Villa Principe; those facing the lake have their own terrace or balcony. Interiors follow the country-house style, with heavy beams, period-style furniture and rich drapes, and windows look onto the lake or the garden.
