General information
Excelsior Palace stands in Rapallo, on the Portofino coast of the Italian Riviera. It keeps the mood of the early 20th century, when international society chose to stay here, and its interiors take their colours from the bright, sunlit shoreline. Most rooms look over the Gulf of Tigullio, a view long celebrated by writers.
The Duke of Windsor Congress Centre, fully equipped and seating up to 450, handles meetings and corporate events, and the hotel also arranges weddings. In the warmer months guests spend their days at The Beach Club by the pier, from where boats set out along the coast. The hotel suits a weekend away as well as a longer Riviera holiday.
Location
The hotel is in Rapallo on the Portofino coast, 32 km from Genoa’s Cristoforo Colombo International Airport and 1 km from Rapallo railway station.
Spa
The beauty and wellness centre offers face and body treatments with natural Phytomer products, a choice of massages, stone therapy and thalassotherapy, all aimed at restoring inner balance.
Sports & leisure
A well-equipped gym hosts Pilates, stretching, aqua aerobics and spinning classes as well as personal training. From late May to late September The Beach Club is open by the pier where boats depart, with six sea excursion programmes and tours along the Portofino coast.
For children
The Beach Club has a playground for children aged 3 and over, and babysitting is available.

There are two restaurants and two bars, some open all year, others only in summer.

- The Yachting Bar — a nautical bar for after-dinner cocktails, with summer aperitifs served at wrought-iron tables on the terrace at sunset

Swimming
There is an indoor pool with a hydromassage area and an outdoor panoramic pool; in summer guests also take to the sea at The Beach Club.

A spacious suite in pale tones with antique furniture: a bedroom, a living room, a bathroom and a furnished balcony or terrace overlooking the Gulf of Portofino. Can connect to a Superior Double Room.
Deluxe Suite
A sixth-floor suite looking over the Portofino coast and Rapallo harbour, with a bedroom, a living room, a bathroom and a furnished terrace with Jacuzzi. Can connect to a Superior Double Room.
Relax Suite
A suite on the seventh and top floor with a bedroom, a living room, a bathroom, a sauna and a large furnished terrace with Jacuzzi facing the Portofino coast. Can connect to the Presidential Suite.
Presidential Suite
A top-floor suite with antique furniture and panoramic views of the Portofino coast: a bedroom, a living room with a work area, two dressing rooms, two marble bathrooms with shower and Jacuzzi, and a furnished terrace with Jacuzzi. Can connect to Exclusive Double Rooms.
